Hello friends, so I recently placed another kratom order with SoCal and have still been trying to nail down a really good sleeping combo as I still have a little trouble winding down at night. I have read so many great things about blue lotus so I ordered some of their 100:1 extract to experiment with. I have read a lot about letting it soak in alcohol, primarily wine. Seems like that's where blue lotus got it's start long ago. I'm one though that tried to avoid alcohol at all costs. I don't mind trying that if it's indeed the best way to reap the benefits of it. Just wanted to check with you guys and see if any of you have an alternative that actually works. I ordered 1oz of it so if any of you have this down to a science, that's what I'm working with.
I'm wondering if anyone has tried mixing with a red strain? From what I've read, in order to get the full effects of blue lotus just consuming the extract or even tea doesn't seem to do much.
Thanks everyone for your time! :)

I don't know that much about Blue Lotus but when I took the Blue Lotus Extract 50:1 Capsules about 5 years ago It put in a great relaxed state. I don't know anything about soaking it in Wine. You could contact Koda from Meridian Botanicals. She is a member on here. She is the Head Alchemist for Meridian. She would know all about Blue Lotus. Let me know how their Blue Lotus is? Thanks!

Hello! I just made my own blue lotus extract from solid flower/stem from Meridian. I avoid alcohol as much as possible because I can't drink socially.

What I did was purchase a bottle of everclear, fill a small jar with the plant material, pour in enough everclear to cover the blue lotus and soaked it for a week. Then I poured it through a tea strainer lined with cheese cloth into a plate and hit it with a blow dryer on low until enough alcohol evaporated so it would fit in my 2 oz tincture bottle.

It works great! I made no exact measurements, so start off with half a dropper and work your way up. I slept like a baby with that and some Cambodian MD from pharmacy dropout.

Your results may vary. This post was for entertainment and educational purposes only. Nothing stated above should be construed as medical advise. Let me know if you have any questions. Max's suggestion to talk to Koda was a good one. She knows her stuff far more than I do.

Cheers,
August

Thanks August, I appreciate your suggestions. I'm wondering though if the soaking method would work the same for me since I'm getting the extract vs. The flower form as you tried. Most of what I read seemed like the best methods were to make a tincture with alcohol though. I'm not opposed to small amounts from a dropper obviously but still would like to consider all my options. I haven't ever spoken with Koda but may be a good time to reach out to her.
Thanks again!

No problem brother. I think what I did would work for you. Your tincture made with extract should be considerably stronger. I believe alcohol sort of activates blue lotus.

Be safe.
