Much good will come out of this epic meeting, I predict.

Hey all,
I'm new to this forum, it seems like an interesting and helpful place. I love Kratom, it's a beneficial yet misunderstood plant. I think there is even more to learn about it than known now. I'm researching it and writing up my own Kratom story and what I will learn of it. I do what I can to help protect it as well.
I have a few questions if someone could help me.
I'm growing a few plants in my home, my Rifat is growing fast, can it grow too fast? It's on it's second set of new leaf growth within the past two weeks. My Indo may have suffered some shock after it arrived. It had three sets of leaves, all but the top two fell off. Leaves were all quite small. It hasn't grown, it's leaves haven't grown bigger but otherwise it looks healthy. I've had it for a month. Maybe it's just recovering?
I'm starting a herbal medicinal and beauty business, and I'm looking for a reliable, quality wholesale distributor. Any suggestions?
Thank you,
JoAnna
How did my photo end up sideways?? Is that just how it is..

Hope to see some replies to this! Very fun. I know one member who has some also. Hopefully he'll see this.

Horticulture hasn't been discussed enough here yet :)

Thanks for the welcoming. I hope there is someone to discuss it with. Growing them is not as difficult as some make it seem. They are beautiful and interesting plants to have around.

I almost got some, but I'm lucky to have a bedroom here by the sea. The little trees look like a lot of fun to raise :)

They are. Growing plants is rewarding.
I think I got an answer about my Rifat. I checked the website of the guy I got it from. He had new info up about them growing fast. There's a lot of people out there that like to provide misinformation, but he likes to clear that up.
A place by the sea sounds nice. I bet Kratom would like that.

Nope, probably too cold (Northern California, almost - Santa Cruz). My dream was to fill my cousin's greenhouse down in Pacific Grove. But we got to talking about waiting 70 years for the tree to mature...we doubt we'll be up to tree climbing in 70 years, so we bagged the idea, lol I don't have room where I stay. Literally.

Welcome! I hope it is not presumptive of me to message you about your plants? I have a bit of a green thumb, but I'm living in the northeast and have no idea how a little plant in my care might fare. I am passionately interested in parenting a 'Mitra' or 'Gyna' or whatever silly name I'd give to it...I'm just wondering how a gal might start such an endeavor!

Looking forward to reading your posts!

You can message me. I'm in the Chicago area. They grow quite well indoors. I've turned my bedroom into a tropical room with lights and a humidifier. Feel free to message me. I also know a guy who is quite informed about the trees.

To my knowledge, they don't take 70 years to mature, not even from seed. I think it's 15-20 from seed. And if you get cuttings they are as old as the parent plant and it's parent plant and so on.
