I’m excited, hopefully the product is as good as the first stuff I was getting from the first vendor, the stuff that turned me on to kratom in the first place. I’ve been using kratom as an aid to cut out opioids in my life and it really does seem promising. I mostly have been getting white strains for daytime and reds for the evening, and I have been gradually reducing my dosage. The fact that lower doses have an energizing effect really helps, because in that stage of withdrawal, a boost of energy makes a big difference.

Just as a personal story/testimonial to kratom, I was introduced to kratom by a friend and started taking it on day 3 of cold turkey from a mild to moderate opiate habit. A little while after the first dose: my stomach felt better, I was in a better mood, not thinking about drugs, could eat. A miracle, really.

It was going very well for a cpl weeks there, with the first stuff from the first site, but when I was running low I noticed they’d closed for business. The other place I ordered from, terrabotanical, they sent me what amounted to an extra 150g of product, but I noticed right away it didn’t taste as bitter or something, and wasn’t nearly as potent. The red kali was so weak i got almost no effect from it (at this point, I was down to about 4-5g of red hulu from the old vendor, so taking 8g of the kali should’ve done it), and the white stuff made me jittery, whether it was a 4g dose or as high as 9g, I can only describe it as feeling like I pounded back 2 cans of red bull, no matter what dose.

So again, I’m excited, but worried about the consistency of kratom from vendor to vendor. There are probably at least some ppl out there who are just looking at this as a commodity and buying whatever garbage that resembles kratom in bulk, reselling it for a tidy profit because they know the product has a good rep right now and increasing popularity.

What a cool testament to the benefits that we find so helpful! Your bunk stuff needs to be discarded because you don’t know for sure what it is, honestly! Filler of some kind comes to mind...

Fortunately the industry has made huge improvements with safety checks and batch tracking becoming the norm for everyone as an effort to prove legitimacy as well as serious commitment to customers. It’s costing everyone more. But by gradually adding the necessary upgrades, the expenses can be spread out over time to help keep safe products accessible and affordable and LEGAL.

Your post reminds me of where I was when I started. Absolutely out of options and stuck at HOPELESS when I found this tree leaf powder and I am now rebuilding a life I sort of had and building one that I didn’t think was possible for me. I didn’t have hope beyond staying well enough to be of help to my Mom and serious concerns that I may be more in need of help?!

I’m not at all familiar with the vendors serving Canada besides www.kratom.com , which I can recommend unequivocally and the code for a nice discount year round is ILK.

Keep us posted!?!

Thanks, Laurie, for the warm welcome: ))))

I’m glad I found this forum. Thanks for the info on that vendor, I may just try them out!

I am probably going to toss the rest of that batch, I’m back to maintenance doses of codeine and oxy in the meantime anyways (as much as its a step backwards, I still am needing something for the time being, just for now), and your right: I really dont know whats in in this powder, if its just weak or half sawdust or something. The white kali, like I was saying, it makes me jittery and gives me headaches.....and headaches are the main reason I need pain relief in the first place!

I’ll be sure to report here on the new batch, when it comes in.

Like I said, I’m very much looking forward to my next good batch, to get back on the kratom taper. My long term goal is to taper down from kratom and start using my kratom only on days where I have migraines and/or stomach issues. Its a shame kratom gets a bad rep from some places like the mayo clinic, etc, I mean it really seems to me that this has a LOT of potential to help ppl. Not to be all ‘conspiracy minded’, but it makes me wonder if the medical crowd aren’t in cahoots with big pharm on this one. For all the negative talk about kratom, dr’s are still prescribing tonnes of opioids, getting ppl hooked and then suddenly taking away prescriptions, leaving a lot of ppl out in the cold. Opioids are dangerous business, everyone knows that now. Kratom seems to be a much safer alternative....
