Please be careful. A friend in his 30’s uses too much kratom and probably too many steroids FOR PUMPING IRON and he just had BOTH HIPS REPLACED because he didn’t feel pain signals (kratom) and didn’t care (steroids).

You guys MUST be checked once a year for osteoporosis -<—-that’s the diagnosis that got him new hips in his freaking 30’s.

I get it regarding the 4 beers.

So this goes against all the "evidence" that we are told about osteoporosis ie that weight bearing exercise strengthens bones.

Agmatine works like the Arginine it's derived from, but its effect on getting a better pump is more pronounced. Glutamine is the basic building block for all soft tissue, and with it your body can right away start repairing the muscle tissue that got stressed in the workout.

Dr. Atkins devotes over three pages to it in his nutrition book. I just checked it and he said he used it to treat addictions, including alcohol, and sugar cravings. Good for colitis as well.

Not to be a shill for bulk supplements, but my third kilo of it arrived a couple of weeks ago, lol. I ordered my first one in April of 2018.

Hey Babel ,

Do you use the agmatine solely as a supplement or and also for Kratom lowering ?? I did get a big bag from Bulk Supplements after your suggestion some time ago, but haven’t been utilizing it .. was meant to be used to lower my Kratom dosage ... first time worked pretty well, I took 2/3 less than my reg dose , and was almost floored , I did take a pretty high dose compared to what I remeberbyou suggesting ... I think I took 1/2 or 1 tsp.. what ever the max dosage says on the bag ....

How do you utilize agamtine ? For working out or Kratom or both..? What’s your regimen? That’s basically my question..!! How, when , why !!

Thx brother (L)

Yes Agmatine is Basically used for Kratom Tolerance Lowering. Over time it will Lower your Tolerance. I have tried it & it worked pretty well. Agmatine is usually used for a Pre-Workout Supplement to give you a Better Pump to your Muscles when Lifting Weights. I haven't taken it in a long time. So I don't know exactly the Best Way to Utilize it. I would guess that you would Slowly & Continually Lower your Kratom Dosage while Taking Agmatine everyday until you are able to get your Tolerance down a bit while Taking Less & getting the Same Effects. This will take some time I'm Sure. In My Experience Tolerance Lowering takes at Least a Month or More before you will actually Notice a Difference in how much less you will be able to take but Everybody will be Different.

The amino acid arginine has been used in various forms to promote increased blood flow and vascularity through the production of nitric oxide. Its popularity can be seen in a wide variety of cardiovascular health products, as well as in a majority of the pre-workout supplements that are currently available on the market. More recent discoveries have shown that agmatine, the decarboxylation product of the amino acid arginine, may show a positive response in increasing the amount of nitric oxide that is produced in the human body, along with several other potential health benefits.

Agmatine is derived from arginine using a chemical reaction that eliminates the carboxylic acid end from the molecule. The resulting structure serves to regulate the production of nitric oxide synthase (NOS), which then influences the amount of nitric oxide that is released into the bloodstream. Increased blood flow, in turn, creates an increase in the amount of vital nutrients and oxygen that can be supplied to the muscles, which is a key component in healthy exercise. This has led many to label agmatine as a form of “Super Arginine.”*

Studies suggest that agmatine may also be responsible for the production and release of several peptide hormones, including the growth hormone (GH), luteinizing hormone (LH), and pituitary hormone. As a neurotransmitter, agmatine is released through the process of membrane depolarization to block NMDA receptors and other cation ligand-gated channels. This poses the potential for increased learning and memory functions.

madmaxnightrider covered all the bases exceptionally well, so I can only add my personal experience. I'm doing about one gram, three times a day. I take other aminos, and I'm on a low carb diet, so I have to be careful about dosing the Agmatine away from my meals, and away from my other aminos. On my day off from taking Kratom I also take a day off from taking Agmatine. Since I take it three times a day it's not too hard to time a dose of it before a workout. I'm not strict about the exact timing though.

Edited for spelling, and grammar.

I was just reading about Rhynchophylline, which is in both Kratom and Cat's Law (Uncaria Tomentosa). It's a NMDA antagonist, and as a calcium channel blocker it can work to lower blood pressure. Anyway, so I then started reading about NMDA receptor antagonists, and there's an interesting list of substances that work on NMDA receptors on the NMDA Wikipedia page.

Agmatine is on the list, as is Magnesium, and L-Phenylanine, which I take as it's part of DLPA. Some really familiar names at the following link.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NMDA_receptor_antagonist

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhynchophylline

P.S.
So maybe "the wobbles" is connected to getting too much Rhynchophylline? Though I suppose the right amount of it makes for what is the secret sauce of Kratom?

NMDA receptor antagonists are a class of drugs that work to antagonize, or inhibit the action of, the N-Methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR). They are commonly used as anesthetics for animals and humans; the state of anesthesia they induce is referred to as dissociative anesthesia.

Several synthetic opioids function additionally as NMDAR-antagonists, such as pethidine, levorphanol, methadone, dextropropoxyphene, tramadol and ketobemidone.

Some NMDA receptor antagonists, such as ketamine, dextromethorphan (DXM), phencyclidine (PCP), methoxetamine (MXE), and nitrous oxide (N2O), are popular recreational drugs used for their dissociative, hallucinogenic, and euphoriant properties. When used recreationally, they are classified as dissociative drugs.

The mystery I’m curious about is why I get the wobbles INSTEAD OF “sedative” benefits. I get the wobbles easily. Taking MORE is usually the cause. I never get a nice nap from taking more.

I wonder if you have stumbled upon some helpful hints!

Your research is fantastic, Babel-17!
