Oops. I have NO idea why I did that. What I wanted to say Don is that I hope you're married 71 years too. They don't have a perfect marriage-but who does? I wouldn't have stayed married to either one,but they fit each other. Mom has an uncle whose still alive at 102. He's in great shape.Unfortunately, his wife passed in June at 100. They' were married 83 years!! Theirs was close to a perfect marriage. I need to call and see how he's doing. He's still quite with it. Thanks for your kind words

its all a matter of perspective right? I hope your situations change for the better lacie. and yes please take care of youself. I hope your mom gets out of the funk too. but we all have been there for many reasons.

I personally am not bothering with the BRACA test. I already know im screwed! a couple ovarian and uterine polyps removed. negative. whatever. toungue lesion cut out prompted me to quit smoking/ nicotine all together. even if you test positive they just do a hystorectomy/ mascectomy. ( sorry not gonna look! not one I wanna spellcheck! ) I just keep up on my tests and appointments. and honestly, im ready to pick out a new set! lol....but its just something you will stress yourself about!

kratom and botanicals has helped me catapult my lifestyle in a better direction. I 'feel' better. eat cleaner ( most of the time ) and rarely take any over the counter pain meds. I used to gobble nsaids like they were candy..ive been taking a boswellia complex too and incorporate essential oils ( food grade ) to my kratom morning drink. helped me shed the weight I gained when I quit smoking. I wont be wearing a bikini any time soon, but hey not bad for a chef!

yeah my mom went through a lot. chemo, radiation, many surgeries. shes got an ostomy bag which isn't a good combo with her memory issues/ awareness. my little sis lives with her but its her turn. long story! we are more like 2 only children. im 10 yrs older. kid I never had to have!

anyways im so rambling about me. im glad you are able to open up and let it go. looks like serendipity on your timing.. .

Married 83 years
I can't imagine living that long. :woohoo:
But the kratom certainly makes it easier now that the headaches and body aches have been reduced substantially. :-bd

I checked the vendor's web site and the Dark Bent was gone. :(
I did try some more of the Dark Bent last night but unfortuantely for me I mixed 100mg of it with 1g of red tamiang. I was hoping I would get a nice restful sleep from it. Wrong. I was up till 3am this morning.
My Grandkids say I’m a cuckoo head. ;)

How is everyone? I'm not doing badly. I took 2 tsp.'s (I don't do grams, but have a conversion chart) of Super Green from FF. It's somewhat stimulating, which is good but is helping with wanting to get something done. I'm making mom a pink and white necklace and bracelet with Swarovski crystals and other beads. It took me a while to decide on the final design. Now I just have to make it. Time-consuming but I WANT to do it.

When I'm depressed creativity's the first thing that goes. I do my beading on my bed. I have 140 of those Command nonstick hooks on my walls. Each hook has between 2-8 strands of beds hanging. I've several 24 compartment containers filled with Jewelry making supplies, including 1000''s and 1000's of Swarovski crystals. My room looks like I live in a bead shop and I love it.

Michelle- I completely understand not testing for the genes. I only have one ovary anyway. Years ago I had a spot on my ovary and they feared cancer. I didn't have it but had ovary removed anyway. It turned out to be a stitch from having my tubes tied. I believe that when you have something in your baody that doesn't belong that it'll develop into cancer or something equally bad. Linda's cancer started in her right ovary also. I can't afford surgery so if I do have the gene I'd just be checked periodically. My Dr.suggested being tested.

Laurie- Oh boy. We are sisters in a parallel universe!! I have stuff I want to post but want to work on the jewelry before I'm no longer inspired. Thanks for sharing your story. I'm so sorry for the pain you've suffered.

Don- I know right? 83 years. They're my favorite relatives. The night you told me about the 'bent',I went to their site. They didn't have any so I ordered Black Bali. Should be here tomorrow and I'm anxious to try it.

I take only one third/one ninth of the regular dose range of Adrafinil, and I only take it once a day, shortly after getting up. I take a lot of other supplements, some of which work towards staying calm, so I think a full dose on its own would really have me up all night, same as it did the first time I took it using a full dose.

The powder isn't much cheaper than the capsules so I just open them up and take a third out. It has filler, so I allow for that. A 300 mg. capsule has about 480 mg. of product in it, so I weigh out 160 mg. each time, then close up the capsule, unless it's the final part.

Lacie,
You better be careful with that black bali. I know the Dark Bent I have knocks me out at my normal dose. You should try a half or quarter dose to make sure you don't lose part of a day to unintended sleep.

hanks for letting me vent. Is it any wonder that I like to be in my room? My Black Bali order is at the post office waiting to be picked up. Unfortunately, I live in an area that's suffering the effects of Winter Storm Finley. It's snowed here for two days and I can't get the car up the driveway. I'm hoping to get there tomorrow. Thanks for the warning Don. I will take a small starter dose and see. I took some White Riau from FF today and fell asleep.

And Babel-thanks for the info on Adrafinil. It's also at the P.O. I'm pretty tolerant of stimulants but will take 1/2 dose and see.

Thanks you all for being here for me. When things are tense and stressful my Executive Functions Dysfunction makes it all that much worse. I'll explain what that is next time. Time to go make dinner

Yep, I have ADD. I take Ritalin but I get great relief using Kratom. I also have borderline personality disorder and a few other fun things that go along with it. Kratom is a bit of a panacea for my overall well being, they'll have to lock me up if they want to stop me using this fabulous herb :P

Thank you for replying and it's nice to meet you. I just got home from my every 3 months Dr.appointment for my Ritalin refills. I take 20 mg.immediate-release 2 x's a day. I have been on that dose for a while now and it's time to go up. What strain helps you the most? I don't know of one ADHDer that does NOT have a comorbid condition. Mine's MDD or Major Depressive Disorder. I'm OCD about really only one thing. I make beaded jewelry and if a piece isn't perfect I tear it apart and redo it until it is.

There are a few things I've learned since I was here last. The strains that are thought to be stimulating, sometimes are, but can also put me to sleep. Each dose can be different for me even within the same strain/batch. Like a White MD may wake me up today, but make me sleepy tomorrow. So it's hard to plan.

The regular dose of Adrafinil is too stimulating for some so they take half the dose. Boy not me. A full capsule has zero effect on me. It takes 2. It does work well though when taken with my Ritalin. I don't take them together every day.

I'm interested in Nootropics also. There's lots of good info out there about what works well with ADHD. I had a death in my family a month ago and have been really busy dealing with the aftermath. So I haven't had the time to do nootropic research.

Do you know what sub type of ADHD you are? I'm ADHD-I mostly. That's inattentive. But I'm often combined which is Innatentive and hyper. My hyper's not physical,it's mental. I can lay there watching TV but my brains working at the speed of sound. Very annoying.

hey guys. I don't have add but I understand the warp speed brain chatter. used to be a bit of a night owl insomniac. now I go to bed early willingly most nights. but anywhoo..things that do help me wind down kava and phelledendron ( used for 6wk/ at a time regulated cholesterol and blood pressure. helps keep blood sugar stable too )

corydalis and Chinese skullcap help me for sleep/ PM pain if needed. rotate between them and sometimes add a touch of wild lettuce if needed. if I REALLY have go get to sleep early and im wound, its ok to take small doses of corydalis and skullcap together. only downside is then ill snore my husband out of bed lol..which is only sometimes bad haha.. hes done it to me many times!
