Kraken's white sumatra was the first strain It tried. At just over 2 grams it gave me an uplifting moodlifting aroma. I will say I was satisfied with this strain.

I order from KK quite often lately. I'm curious about everyone's opinion though. I ordered something from them on a Saturday night. I wanted it as soon as possible so I paid $24 for overnight shipping but didn't get it until Tuesday. I'm assuming that nobody was there on a Saturday evening to process the order and get it out for the next day, so I understand that. However, I did assume I would have it Monday morning. Yes, it's possible nobody is ever processing orders on the weekends at all. It's partly my fault for not taking that into consideration though I've ordered from kratom vendors on weekends before and had it first thing Monday. Is there a disclaimer anywhere on the site about not being able to process orders on weekends? If so, then it's completely my fault because I missed it. However, I think when ordering something overnight you should get some kind of alert that orders won't be processed until the next business day or something like that. I don't want to complain to them because I really do enjoy their product but I feel like paying what I did for shipping deserved special attention. Like I said, I don't want to give off an air of being pissed or angry - I'm just looking for some insight here.

I've not used them. I would definitely send an email or call with the same composed, non-emotional, calm wording and ask if you actually received $24 shipping attention. Ask what their policy is and how you may have missed it. I'm sure they value your business and likely will send you a sample of your choosing in consideration of appreciation of your business and letting them know this was a bit disappointing. Definitely let them know. All vendors appreciate customers (the good ones). They'll want to see you shop there again. Sorry to hear about your having to wait longer than anticipated. Takes the air out of your sails for the day, I'm sure. Let us (or me in a pm) know how it went? I'd like to hear a happy ending to this for you.

Kk Does have a shipping cutoff time. If you click the link "free shipping" you would have seen that they state you have to order before Saturday Noon. Just fyi, other than Amazon I do not know of any delivery service that delivers on a Sunday or that would be open on a Sunday to process orders. The order you placed Saturday night was processed on Monday morning and you received it Tuesday. That IS next day delivery.

Thanks, Laurie! I joined here over two years ago, but never got into the habit of posting daily. I'm trying to adjust that.

I'm going to send them a professionally worded email letting them know my concern. I don't want to lose them since they are one of the better places from which to order. I don't want to message them acting all nasty and everything. One, because this could very well be due to the fact that I missed a disclaimer. Two, because it's just not my style.

Welcome to POSTING here, Prog Snob! Nobody is required to post (daily or otherwise), so relax about that. Your style is similar to mine. A simple email without pointing blame will surely resolve the matter for both parties for this order AND future ones. Vendors can NEVER run low on reasonable customers, even if disclosure is stated in bold and red highlight! Communication is best done civilly. You'll probably establish a long term relationship that's more helpful by just being YOU :)

If you've been ordering from them or any kratom website for that matter then you should know that they all have cut off times for same day shipping (just like many other websites). The cut off times for week days and weekends differ. It is located in their "Free Shipping" and "Frequently Asked Questions" sections. Its important to look up this information before ordering from any site to know when you have to order by to get same day shipping. For Kraken its by 2 p.m. PST time on weekdays and by 12 p.m. PST on Saturdays and obviously no shipping on Sundays because no shipping services are available until Monday. A lot of places don't even offer shipping on Saturdays so again its important to look up a company's shipping policies before ordering. I have had problems with late shipping from them in the past where they were at fault but in your case you just missed the cut off time.

All good points klk76238. I'm not a vendor, but if I were, and I saw an order placed AFTER HOURS on a Sat with overnight shipping for 24 hour service on my desk Mon morning, I would send a courtesy email to confirm, "Do you still want overnight shipping, since it's just going out today?" prior to actual shipping. I would assume the person doesn't know the cutoff time came BEFORE the order that recent past Sat.
That's just me. Other businesses I've used (not the kratom industry) have done that for me, and it was APPRECIATED. People are still people. I didn't become better at reading small print and following assembly directions once I used kratom. I wish!
I'm glad this issue is being discussed so cordially for all parties. The Sat shipping is definitely unique per each vendor, so it's a good idea to read that stuff. I learned the hard way once.
