I am rather new to using kratom but have been getting pretty bad tension headaches from my use. I started off taking 3-4 grams at a time, but was told that reducing my doses to around 2 grams might reduce the headaches because I am a newb. The headaches have continued. I maintain adequate hydration and eat plenty throughout the day. I have tried 3 strains, and the white and the yellow Vietnam give me the worst headaches. Red Bali does not seem as bad, but it's still pretty bad. Any suggestions?

Ah you adjusted the dose down.
Whites might not be for you. I believe yellow might be related to white strains with a different drying technique.
Sometimes you need time to adjust to a new strain. No body wants headaches though.
Place the Kratom aside that is giving you headaches and get back to it later. Take notes on strain color, vendor, dose and how it affected you.

Also do not be afraid to go even lower.
Kratom can be such a unique experience from person to person. It really is an experiment at first.
For me I take Whites (there are a few I do rotate with) at a dose of 1.5 grams. I take most Reds at 2.4 grams, 2 grams if a strain made me nauseous. Greens are 1.7 grams.
It is easy for most people to feel they need to dial it up but struggle at the idea of lowering anything.

Hope you can resolve the headaches soon.

I really appreciate you responding. I think I'll lower to about 1 gram and experience moving up from there. I was told by a friend that maybe it is the vendor, so I just ordered multiple different strains from a different vendor. I am open for any and all suggestions.

Definately try a different source...
What you have may very well be tge problem, unless you have other medical issues that might be contributing to the headaches
Enjoy life always!

Same thing happened to me with several red strains.

I lowered the dose and I was fine.

I tried Green Mang and I've been fine even at a high dose.

Its weird how things work..

YES, definitely lower the dose until you have NO headaches.

Yellow/Gold have been fermented so that might part of the problem with that strain.

Stick to one color only as you experiment. If you take multiple strains you are confounding the data so stick with one. Once you are OK with one strain and have good data then switch to another strain color to see what happens, BUT do not blend anything until you are really sure how each strain affects you.

Maybe you have already tried this?

BUT, are you sure it is the Kratom? if you stop all together do the headaches go away?

I think that it was the company that I had ordered from. I ordered from happy hippo and everything has been going great with the headaches, they went away 100%. The only issue that I have been having now is severe stomach issues. So I did much more research and I think it might be digestive issues and taking the powder through toss and wash. I decided to try and make tea using lemon juice ,apple cider vinegar and water. I steep for over an hour then add honey. I think my stomach issues are clearing up, but I am using much more kratom with lighter effects.
Any suggestions

If your stomach issues are clearing up with tea, it is probably because you are getting a much lower concentration of the alkaloids in Kratom. Maybe taking the kratom full strength was just too much for your digestive system.

IF you still get the benefits you want then that might be the way to go.

Make sure you are taking probiotics for colon health too. Anyone I know who has a weak digestive system and takes Kratom ALWAYS suffers this way. I had some bad digestive probelms in the beginning but once I got the strains and dose worked out everything settled down.
