Happy Thanksgiving from the I Love Kratom Community!

We wanted to post all the Black Friday Deals that our approved vendors have made us aware of. We have heard that there are a few vendors that are having a tough time staying stocked up. We are confident one of these vendors would love to help you until your vendor is all stocked up again!

I manage a retail store that sells Kratom. I'm wondering what the best way to go about selling it would be. I know we can't tell people dosages and uses for it (ie pain, energy) but I still want to be able to help people choose a product that will help them. Any advise on how we could best handle our dialog would be appreciated. We want to be legal and responsible. Also if anybody knows of any good, reputable wholesalers, we would love the reference.

Hello, ComposedAnt! I've wondered about this too. All I can tell is that at this point, even as a consumer, CAUTION is a valuable word at this point in Kratom's history. Who knows what the FDA will do, but I personally would just read as much as possible (especially pertaining to your state laws) and even read the bad stuff that's being said about it on the interwebs. I always try to hear both sides myself. This seems like a great place to get valuable feedback. Most importantly keep asking this question. Also, I can inquire about wholesaling for you. Can't make any promises, but I will ask a vendor with whom I've become email friends. This is my first response as a forum member so THANK YOU!! Peace, Baldylocks ;)

Thanks for responding! We are trying to be cautious with what we say but what I'm finding difficult is to be cautious without making kratom sound sketchy. I'll keep reading about it and training my people. Again, thank you.

Hey ComposedAnt,

My name's Michael and I'm a newer moderator on the ILK Forum. I consider myself pretty educated on the topic, so I'm going to chime in and offer my advice here.

To prevent making Kratom sound "sketchy" you can come straight out and tell people the truth, that you can't tell them much about the product because it's sold as a supplement not approved by the FDA. You can tell them that their research on the internet is going to get them a lot more answers than what you can provide to them as a vendor. It sounds much better than freezing up when confronted about the products if I may say so myself.

People in the Kratom vendor community have also begun to use words to describe the products that would not be frowned upon by the FDA and associations like it. You can describe Kratom as providing energy, relaxation, and a bit of euphoric effect.

As baldylocks said, your independent research will be probably the greatest asset. Just know your laws and don't push them too far, because we're all here enjoying Kratom's benefits and it would be awful to have that taken away for no good reason!

I wish you the best of luck,
Michael

Thank you very much! I was uncertain whether or not we could even have it be labeled as a supplement...everything seemed to be so contradictory. This will help a lot! Its sort of what we had been doing already but it is nice to have the confirmation.

I'm new too, but pretty sure you cannot say its a supplement. Most vendors say its an insence to burn....☺
