Happy Thanksgiving from the I Love Kratom Community!

We wanted to post all the Black Friday Deals that our approved vendors have made us aware of. We have heard that there are a few vendors that are having a tough time staying stocked up. We are confident one of these vendors would love to help you until your vendor is all stocked up again!

I'm just guessing by some of the screen names on this board that some of you are musicians of some sort.

What instruments do you play? What style(s) of music? Do you play in public, for fame & fortune, or just at home for enjoyment?

Do you find that Kratom use enhances your abilities to concentrate on your (our) craft?

Hi aimee,

I am not a musician per say, however I am a long time songwriter, and my brother had a fairly good band several years ago, culminating with playing the famed Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ in the early 2000's. Unfortunately, they couldn't gain enough traction with their first cd, which they paid the freight to record by themselves. My brother did go on to be a published author, and his first book "A World Without Divide" by William Joseph, is available on Amazon. Enough of this advertising I'm doing, lol.

I myself can sing to some degree, and can do Stephen Stills and Jim Morrison (Doors) pretty much balls on, and after 35+ years of being a Neil Young fanatic, I can sing most of his material pretty well too. I have absolute stage fright though, so doing those things in a setting with just friends and family is one thing, publicly is another for me. But in reality writing is my thing, though most of it remains unseen. I am writing two different books right now; neither is close to being finished, but when they are having my brother's connections may benefit me down the road. We'll see how that goes...

If you'd like to see my most recent song I wrote, "I'm Gonna' Show", with the story behind it, just let me know and I'll PM it to you. As for Kratom, I don't think it effects my writing in any profound way, though I suppose it doesn't hurt it when I've used an energy mix of it to get me moving either!

Very cool! I'd like to see your song, but I'm not much at sight reading. Yes, that certainly qualifies as being a very creative musician.

I used to play the Clarinet for almost seven years. I think it's been around 15 years since I've picked one up though. I was second chair, but easily could have gotten first, but was too shy.

Hey, maybe we could get Chuck to write a song for Bryan on guitar, and Jeff on clarinet. Maybe a Klezmer piece,to feature those clarinet skills!

There must be more of you out there...

I am strictly a wordsmith, Bryan and Jeff would have to come up with the music side of the song. I'll get crackin' on writing a Kratom related song, I'm sure I've got one in me, lol!

Ive been playing guitar for many years. I was in a punck rock/metal band for 5 yrs, played tons of shows, opened for the Misfits a few times. Apprentaly i took things too seriously as far as wanting to go somewhere with it and the guys booted me out lol these days its just a stress reliever and a creative outlet. I will probably get something together again in the future, but for now i have ither priorities. Kratom kind of makes me lazy, lol but depending on type it can help with focus also.

Hi Onebluemelody!

Good to see you back here in Kratville! That's cool that you're a guitarist. Despite the fact that my teen years were spent in the 1980's (uh oh, I'm showing my age now) I was never much for the metal scene at the time. I did enjoy some of the punk bands that came from the early days of its introduction to the mainstream: the Clash, Black Flag, the Minutemen, the Sex Pistols, Devo (yeah, I consider them as kind of new wave/punk, along with bands like the Talking Heads and Blondie), Television and Sonic Youth...just to name a few off the top of my (barely awake) head. Lots of great music that threatened the music establishment at the time, and gave rock a much needed wake up call.

I hope all is well with you and let me know if you want to join the ILK Band! B-)
