As much as I love kratom, it is not without its faults. I will be starting a taper to come off as I am taking too much at the moment. Does anyone else have this issue?

I take a 5-6 gram dose of kratom 3 times a week without any issue. I don't think kratom should be taken daily and after months of use 3 times a week I haven't experienced a tolerance nor any withdrawals but it can happen.

I do agree with you 100% there about not taking Kratom daily but I have to take it daily. I am the kind of person who is the worst addict you have ever seen. I would rather be addicted to Kratom than Pills like Opiates & Benzos. I have been clean from the Pills for 7 years now. I take about 20grams of Kratom each day. I have been slowly lowering my dose by 2 grams per day the last few days. If I totally stop Kratom then I will go into Withdrawals but nothing like with Opioids & Benzos. It's just a feeling of uneasiness & jitteriness. Not very pleasant.

I would not be Alive without taking Kratom everyday. I have overdosed several times when I was taking Pills & almost died on one occasion. I also had several car wrecks when taking Pills. I've never had any major trouble like that while on Kratom in the past 7 years. I owe my Life to Kratom. I do agree it shouldn't be taken everyday but I can't afford to do that because I have Asperger's Syndrome, Chronic Depression, Anxiety & many other Problems that will get out of hand if I don't take it every day.

I was taking 30 grams a day at my Highest Doses but I Tapered it down about 5 months ago. I am slowly tapering it back down again. I want to get down to the lowest possible dosages each day that are effective for me. How much do you take & how often maengdamania if you don't mind answering. You don't have to answer if you don't want to. Just Curious.

Yes, I also am in agreement with all of you, that kratom should not be a daily occurrence 24/7. Those that do so, end up with many side effects, in which I hear can be very unpleasant. I do not see why anyone would really need to take kratom round the clock, but I can also see how someone could lose track of time and think they weren't going to have any physical or mental withdrawls, and then all of a sudden they are in pain.

Tapering down from kratom seems like the best way to go and should be almost painless.

I have been taking Kratom round the clock for the past 7 years & most of the time it has not failed to work for me. I just know what to do to keep it always working for me most of the time. The only bad side effects that I can say I've had are some Constipation & slight dizziness about twice a month compared to almost dying with Opioids & Benzos. I have heard of people who have taken Kratom daily for almost 30 years & have no bad side effects even after taking it for that long except for some constipation.

yes indeed ! it happened to me ;ast year after having a love affair with it, and tolerance reached sky high .. so I just went cold turkey tapering off slightly and did not take any more for 3 months and then started it again with small doses and it was like being reborn in that my receptors were completely refreshed ! it was amazing. So I know 3 months is long time but if you could take a months break, your receptors will thank you for it :)

CT38 could you tell me what you went through as far as what were your kratom withdrawal symptoms, severity of them and how long they lasted before you felt normal? I am curious because i too use kratom daily, but as i too have a horrible opiate addiction, kratom helps me enough by keeping me away from drugs, that even if i would feel some wd effects after stopping use, the pros outweigh the cons for me. So the possibility's of wds do not bother me. I have almost died more than once with opiates and they destroyed my life for a good while. I would gladly take kratom instead even if i were to experience wd effects.

I am thinking about taking several days off just too see what happens lol. So i know what to expect if for some reason i had to quit taking kratom. But i would like to hear your experience as well to give me a good idea what to expect. TY in advance :):-bd

To go off Kratom, try mega dosing lypo-spheric Vitamin C. To do it properly you must look up on line the exact amount needed to have symptomless withdrawal from all opioid based drugs. Trust me.. Stick to the mega dosing regime and it works like Majic.
The big pharma wants to hide this from the public. They don't want people to know that mega dosing vit c ( sodium ascorbic) will reset receptors and can even block opioids from properly connecting. Pretty cool. Just DONT EAT any shelled sea life like shrimp, crab, lobster etc... When mega dosing vit C.. It turns the special potassium in shell into arsenic.. Or so a study implied.
Anyway.. I found this out when I had to go off methadone cold turkey and took Kratom for three weeks and then had no Kratom and started mega dosing with lypo- spheric vitamin C and had no problems. I suppose I could have just done that for methadone withdrawal and not used the Kratom.. But I digeess. Anyway.. Kratom saved my butt!!!
