Seeking advice on these Homeopathic pain relievers. Type of pain seems to be important in choosing the right one. Anyone have experience taking these?

Bryonia alba - pain in joints and muscles – relieved by keeping still.
Is there a good brand to buy?

Cat's Claw - relieve pain related to physical activity, but it does not decrease pain at rest.
Best source of this? I have seen capsules on Amazon.

And in need of advice on Mitragyna Hirsuta- the dosing is very confusing. Online I read take 20 grams to make a tea. That is a lot and very expensive. Search results is limited. Anyone who has taken Hirusta can you tell me how, how much, and a good source to buy it from.

I have had good results with Aesculus and Bryonia.

Homeopathic prescribing is very different. It not the specific symptoms but rather the modality that is important.

My last visit with the homeopath resulted in Bryonia because it is a remedy specific for symptoms MADE WORSE ON MOTION (relieved by being still). Not only did the nausea I was experienceing go away but so did the back pain. I had good results for about 6 weeks....time to go back I think.

Prior to that I had good results with a remedy called Aesculus, very low potency. I had NO IDEA it could work for back pain but it did!

If you have no experience with homoepathy I think it is wise to consult a good homeopath for a prescription as they are expert at taking the case and knowing what potency might work the best.

My homeopath does consults by SKYPE.

If you are interested I can put up the link to his website. He has online booking for appointments. He has been practising for over 30 years.

BTW Rhus Tox is also a remedy often used for arthritic conditions...pain and stiffness in the morning.

Definitely going to look into Aesculus. Thank you for the guidance. Reading up a little about it I think its worth exploring for back pain. Also Rhus Tox.

I would like the link to your homeopath's website.

Bryonia seems to make sense and I been meaning to try it for a while now, I cannot believe I have not come across any information about it until this forum and starting Kratom.

There are so many more options than the standard turmeric, ginger, and msm supplements.
I do not have only one type of pain that I battle. I have to battle with standing on my feet too long the overwhelming stress that happens when I cannot find rest. Also sitting too long from a long car trip, or traveling in a plane and not being able to move is a horrible battle. It is also mentally challenging. The pain from moving wrong, picking up something more weight than I should lift, even a small trip over a cat toy could set off days of extra pain.

When you were taking Byronia were you also dosing Kratom? I usually will stop any one remedy I am using to see the effects of anything new.(trying Bryonia during day, taking Kratom at night)

GAWD Nan70...this sounds SO familiar!

BTW...My physiotherapist straightened me out today. Some tight hip muscles were pulling my lower back out of alignment... it's always sumthin'!

Good grab on the quotes, BoMalley! What a coincidence, right?

Groundhog Day with some of these relatively simple tasks. I’ve put off buying water this week because lifting the jugs can sometimes set things off.

I hate to jinx it, but I had less pain again today. Still a lot of fatigue. But. I was able to enjoy a nice hike in these miraculous redwoods not far from home over the weekend. Beach redwoods that drink fog. 150’ tall and EVERYWHERE in a fairly secluded park. We walked about 5 miles and some of it was rough terrain. I could hardly walk the next 2 days, so I know I need to do that more often. The scenery and good red Vietnam from COB helped me achieve a nice hike! Yay!

There’s real hope for us on this journey! Not for a lack of hard work by everyone on the forum in varying struggles, hardships and challenges.

We can get BETTER. What a concept :0)

Have you ever been assessed for osteoarthritis?
Just a thought.

How’s your character? I mean, Mom?!

Osteoarthritis is not the same thing as osteoporosis...just checking that you did not get them confused.

Pretty sure both are genetic so screening is appropriate.
Pretty sure osteoarthritis is usually diagnosed by the symptoms....aching joints, pain and stiffness when startging to move after periods of being still....especially in the morning. Imaging MAY show signs of joint degeneration but that is late in the process. loss of cartilage and build up of bone are the main things seen on xray.

Prevention? keep inflammation at bay and keep moving! Strong muscles and joint flexibility provides support to joints and prevent pain. Easier said than done if you are in pain all the time.

My Mom is doing well thanks. Still taking Kratom 1.2 Gms 4 times per day. She thinks EVERYONE in the home should be on it!

She prefers the capsules so making and delivering them weekly is my job!

HYPERICUM PERFOLATUM is my homeopathic remedy of choice for pain. Any potency is effective, but I like the traditional 30C or 30X.
It is for nerve pain or ANY pain that seems severe.
The arthritis remedies have never touched my oa pain. Rhus Tox can be helpful for pain that gets better with movement, but for me, Hypericum wins.
Homeopathy is widely used for horses, along with acupuncture and osteopathy. Humans and animals both benefit from the same remedies.
Gloria Dodd started a company named Everglo in CA that will ship remedies. Not cheap, but high quality homeopathics. Worth doing a google search. Dr. Dodd died a few years back, but her family maintains the business the last I heard.
Arnica Montana, of course, is the classic muscle/sports injury remedy.
I like a topical called "Penetrex". My physician uses it. I am on my second jar. Well worth it.
I worked for a homeopathy manufacturing facility for a few years. Took a couple of years of classes.
If I can help, I will.
I am never without Hypericum.
These remedies are getting harder to find now, as the FDA wants to control them.
Best,
T
