I just received my Corydalis order from Insense.
I read its an excellent pain reliever.
Please respond it you have tried this, experience, dosing, best at night or day?
Type of pain its most effective with?

Thanks in advance

I am planning to try this weekend maybe start at 1 1/2 grams, in plan water or make a tea? I have powder 10:1 extract.

Hi Nan70!

I find it comparable to incarvillea simensis except more drowsiness. However, I’m often an “opposite”. Like you, I’m looking forward to more comments as well as your thoughts.

I’m not sure I have tried In Sense’s corydalis, so that will definitely be interesting to hear your findings.

Rarely do I take a new botanical and get amazing results from the first try, usually because I will under dose.
I am loving Corydalis.
I almost cannot explain I am not sure if its anti inflammatory, mood stabilizer, helps circulation?
I have a bad cold(still), weather is causing back aches, been feeling tired and cold.
I am feeling great after taking this herb.
Definite relaxing properties, less stiffness in the joints, I feel it helped open up my nasal passage, overall I am in a better mood. And its has good duration.
Its relaxing but I do not find it sedating. I can chose to do light chores or sit down and relax or nap.
I like to have options.

I took 1.5 grams and I feel I could easily increase this to 2, 2 1/2 grams for days with more pain.

I have not yet tried it from In Sense, but I’m smiling at hearing you’re feeling so well! That’s the goal! I get drowsy from mine, so I save it for bedtime use.

I’ll put it on my list of things to try! Dang list is long again already.

I’m enjoying the kava tea in yogi kava tea. Tastes yummy but my mouth is numb enough to have a filling put in :-o

I have tried Corydalis but unfortunately like Kava I didn’t feel any effects. I tried it for the anti inflammatory effects due to Crohn’s disease & arthritis due to Crohn’s.

Off topic:
Jazzfan I read on another thread but can’t remember which one that you also have Crohn’s. Do you find that kratom helps with that? The side effect of constipation from kratom has actually helped me. If you’re like me you’d experience a lot of diarrhea & abdominal pain. Well kratom has helped with both as well as inflammation. My last tests, you know the drill....upper GI, lower GI, colonoscopy were all good and I’m not taking any meds for the Crohn’s.

Username, yes I have Crohn’s disease. Yes Kratom has been helping me with pain and especially helping overcome the depression that comes from being in pain and having a chronic illness as many people on this site know.
I enjoy ILK Forum because the conversations are more adult than other Kratom sites.
I have learned a lot and don’t know how I got along before.
Kratom is amazing and it has changed my life for the better.

Thanks

Re-posting here for reporting-

Corydalis was very good for body aches for my virus, and joint pain relief in my hands and knees, back pain relief was less, that day I was resting my cold and wasn't going to stress out my back. Saved me from dosing kratom which is my goal with the other botanicals.
I also feel Corydalis needs to be dosed 2 to 3 grams 3x times a day to be the most effective.

I’m sitting here at 2:40am drinking digestion tea with 1.2gm turmeric and 1.5gm Corydalis I recently got from Insense.
I let my yesterday morning 5:30am dose of kratom wear off today because I had no headache or body pains that I felt were high enough to take a nighttime dose of red.
It looks like that was a mistake. The pain in my hands, back, knee, and head crept back in until they were bad enough to wake me up.
I’m hoping, based on Nan’s results, that this will knock the pain down enough to get some sleep before 5:30.
It’s been a few months since the pains have awaken me like this. After the last decade off painkillers I have become used to high levels of pain. Now I have some misgivings that while the kratom has dramatically reduced my pain it has also lowered my tolerance to it.
So if Georgia, using an infinite lack of wisdom, makes kratom illegal, I will need herbal alternates to deal with the pain or get tough again. :(
My Grandkids say I’m a cuckoo head. ;)

I’m here for you, Tiggermanscrat! I’m sorry you’re awake with me and the insomniac society.

That drop in kratom is a bit drastic for chronic pain, as you know. I’ll be joining you in weaning again because I’m still not getting results that I should be.

Even after a full week on stem n vein. So I’m back on that tonight and I’m thinking of ANOTHER HUG FOR YOU to get your head on that pillow and let your pain flow away from your body now.. zzzz xo
