In the past 6 months I’ve personally been able to get off of all my meds for anxiety and depression with the help of Kratom. I was taking Prozac, Wellbutrin, Abilify and Xanax. The Xanax was the first one I weaned off then the rest one by one. I am only taking Kratom now, only two 2g doses. One in the morning then one early afternoon. I love Kratom!

Hello and welcome

That’s an amazing feat, getting off those meds , I have a similar experience but was on not as many meds as you , I felt hopeful I could stop them in the first week of Kratom regimen, instead of being strategic and tapering i just went cold turkey and it was rough but made possible by Kratom.

Thx for sharing your triumph!! This is such a great community of people helping people find ways to get relief and gain more quality of life , happy you found us and I look forward to seeing your posts and your story around Kratom and how you came it know it. Always interested in people’s storys :-h

Take care (L)

Welcome to the best kratom forum ever, Slh1981!

I’d also like to congratulate you on the triumphs (great word, Somethingsacredgoinon!)

Wow! :-O

That is a real testament to the problem of people wishing for medication to solve everything-hence the over-prescribing frenzy (give the people what they want).

Sounds like you’ve taken alternate steps to address many issues IN ADDITION to trading those medications for kratom.

I hope you’ll continue to post on your journey of accomplishments and how you got there! Kratom is merely a symptom treatment of choice and like those other meds, doesn’t cure underlying problems. You must have quite a story of depth and self-healing to share as well!

Welcome To ILK Slh1981. :-h That's Fantastic about getting off all those Meds. I was on Abilify for a week & it made me so sick I was in the Hospital fro 3 days. Made me feel Jittery & made my Heart Race. Just made me feel like I was going through the Worst Withdrawals ever. I was in the Hospital Bed for 3 days without getting out of it. Wellbutrin gave me a Migraine for 3 days. Those 2 medicines I just could not take.

You were on 3 Anti-Depressants. I think you were on too many at one time. Glad you are off of them especially Xanax. Doctors don't recommend taking Xanax more than 2 weeks because of Dependence. I have a Family Member that has been on Ativan daily for the past 26 years.
If anybody has any Questions about Kratom please private message me or make a Post & I will be glad to answer as soon as I can usually within 24 hours if not sooner. I'm usually on really late at night Between Midnight & 5am.
