I revised my post because I was afraid most wouldnt get my serious humor and take offense, not you though Michele

But went something like this..

Californians: lots of rich conservative liberals that only are open to their personal beliefs.... but the geography is beautiful !!!

Santa Cruz: santa loco , freak flags are flying

Was gonna make a shirt of this, might be my first million dollar idea :-?

No offense taken

Hope none given

I’m a native of these parts , but might move to a more affordable spot when the kids get bigger,

Santa Cruz is to California what California is to the rest of the country .... very Interesting and beautiful , not cheap at all!!!

I love many things about where I live, but those who are honest and have been here for a while know that there’s some issues and annoyances as well, suppose like any other place

Funny what your dad said ,

“Cali is the land of fruits and nuts “

But he left out “ land of weed” as well,

plenty nuts here , not me ....Ofcourse, ok, little nutty

quirky is as quirky does , apples and trees Michele , apples and trees >:D

hhe brandon you always make me smile! yeah laws changed a lot since hes been gone, I have no problem with weed, to each their own. many of us used it to self medicate for years. if I had a card ( golden ticket! ) or it was rec in my state I would get many edibles high cbd. but the k is so much better to help me focus at work. when im' high' I can barely cook for 2 never mind hundreds! I do come up and create some kick ass recipes though...just takes me for..ev..er!

So cool to have a fresh visit from the son I never had!

Like michele373, the term “stoned” is literally the precise description of me under the influence of THC. I turn to stone! When it begins to wear off, I become a kitchen cupboard bulldozer with zero respect for expiration dates on processed, corn fructose laced junk “food”. Quite the opposite of the recipe creating type! If it’s the least bit edible, it’s history!

Although I am not a big believer in substances being named as the CAUSE of anything, I definitely self harm with food-like substances if I get one puff.

Fortunately, the smell in the air doesn’t bother me. I’m very grateful for that because I do walks in the neighborhood on better days. This one neighbor is always combatting a serious pain condition and happens to be exhaling and coughing whenever I pass by his place

Poor guy must be in AGONY!

I noticed y’all are sensitive to the dryer sheets I did not understand fully, thank you for not pointing out what an insensitive as$ face I can be (foot in mouth via keyboard), do you and Liz happen to have opinions or sensitivities to that odor/smoke, Tiggermanscrat? I’m asking to further learn about remembering to consider OTHERS when sharing. I’m curious AND so glad I did not say anything to my neighbors online about their day-long discussion about dryer sheet scents in the air.

My apologies if I offended you, Don. Even if not offended, I could be more sensitive and you were very kind to not point out how foolish I can be. >:D

You have never offended me Laurie. Unless you're wearing really strong perfume and it is wafting all the way to GA.

I too know a bit about sunburn. A half century ago I went to the ocean one summer and lubed everything but the tops of my feet and fell asleep. I could not wear anything on my feet for almost a week and my feet peeled 3 times. They looked and felt like brown leather.

Yes. It is great when Marcus drops in to let the family know how he is doing. Especially adopted mom of course. :-bd

Michele and Brandon y'all always make me smile. :)

Whoa, lunch is over.

I owe, I owe, so it's back to work I go.

laurie,

like you tell me, no need to be sorry even if you might think its insensitive. its your experience and well a weekend discussion even seems silly to me, and like don im scent sensitive as well. some flowers are big triggers for me!

when we sat down with a rep talking about needs for my mom that was one of her #1 concerns .. no heavy cologne/ perfume. please!

I have found that constipation will trigger sciatica in me. It was a problem when I first started with Kratom. When you are "full" I think it might press on lower back nerves. That is my theory anyway.
