I recently purchased from 4 different companies. Pain was so bad that I tried taking it as if taking a pill (3 times a day). But noticed that I was getting nauseous. Then I went to 1 a day. It seems that twice a day works for me. I started with 3 grams, but it didn't relieve the pain. Then I went to 4, then 6. 5g seems to be sufficient at this time.
Comparing the various strains from these four companies was a task. But so far the Enso Thai (Red Vein Thai) and the Premium Maeng Da are in the lead.
I tried making a pitcher of tea first by heating the powder in water. It was very bitter to take so I added a teaspoon of honey in each 8 oz glass that I drank.
The best was the the toss and wash method. I tossed the powder into my mouth after weighing them each time. Then I drank fresh passion fruit juice (half water/half pulverized pulp). It wasn't bitter this way.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to take for severe pain besides those I've mentioned above?
What has worked for you? Interested in hearing about the quantity and how often you took them.
Also, will the quantity vary for each strain? Is this why some didn't work for me?

You hit it rite in the head the Mae and Reds will be the best for pain, however I like green Malays a lot and they last longer. Mite I recomeand a seller, Leo the owner and operator at HB&M has the best strains and the best prices.

Thanks BigKev, youre a good man :)

Itatai, I just came across what you call Plantation Maeng-Da and its great for Pain.

Let me know and I can send you a sample.

Kev, remind me to send you a sample too buddy, you have to check this new Plantation Mang-Da out.. its pretty good. Its definitely different from the good old Mang-Da (Which I love by the way).
