My name is Humpty, totally joking, it's Melissa but you're welcome for today's ear worm. I'm 32 years old and mother of an insanely cute but terribly difficult 17 month old son. I have the most amazing 24 pound cat in the world and reside in Norfolk, VA. I would have to say that my sense of humor is probably my best quality. I was born with a wonky heart, so hospitals became part of my life from the moment I broke out of the womb and it hasn't gotten a whole lot better since. At the current time I have the pleasure of being the proud owner of Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Crohn's Disease, RA, ADHD, Costochondritis, and all of the wonderful things those bring to your daily life. I've lost count on how many times I've been put under anesthesia and had my first heart surgery last April. I almost made it an entire year with nothing new going wrong, until last week when I had to have my right Fallopian tube removed, leaving me infertile due to the left being damaged as well. I got tired of all the side effects from the long term pain management medications and turned to Google for hope, and I found that in Kratom. It has been a daily part of my life for the better part of a year and I plan to continue reaping it's benefits for as long as possible. I quickly became an advocate and unofficial spokesman for this amazing plant and have helped a few people that are close to me to start enjoying the benefits as well. I am a Star Wars fan and a fan of Sci-fi in general. I use my sarcastic humor and cynical wit to get through my days without feeling sorry for myself due to my daily struggles. I like to eat all things deep fried that I can and I have a weakness for donuts. I've spent the last year learning as much as I can about Kratom because I find it to be absolutely fascinating. I'm quite introverted and try not to leave home or wear real pants as much as possible. I'm looking forward to meeting others here, learning new things, and having a group of like-minded people to enjoy the Kratom journey with. Thank you for creating a place for us to come for information and support. I'm very glad I stumbled onto your page and I can't wait to meet everyone!

Cool... quite witty and loquacious indeed. Good to see another person touched by the healing powers of Kratom. Look forward to seeing some of your posts!

P.S. Your cat looks awesome and very bug-eyed.

Hi melissa! Welcome to the forum :-) theres lots of great info and very knowledgeable people here. Sorry to hear about all your struggles, sometimes the very best way to deal with life, is with humour, im the exact same way. Being pessimistic never got anyone anywhere, and sure as hell didnt make anyone feel better. You will find alot of people on here using kratom to cope, physically and mentally. Myself included. Im also from VA about 3 or so hours from norfolk. I as well have a little boy who is, very wonderful, but can be seriously intense at times lol we will just say he has a BIG personality ;-) Anyways, i hope you enjoy the forum, its the only one i participate on any more.

Hello.. I have a sister named Melissa, and you kind of look like my cousin Amy. I'm kind of a cat person also, I had 3 cats, then one had kittens , now I'm stuck with 7 cats, at least I live on a farm so they can roam around outside. I started using kratom due to a severe pain pill addiction, and Kratom totally relieved me from my pain of addiction to those nasty things. I like kratom now because it gets me through my work days, which can be hard at times, it also helps with the back pain I have. Nice to see another human enjoying the benefits of this amazing tree. Hope all is well and stays well.

That is an abundance of cats that you currently possess. Mine is a 24 pound Bombay that rivals the largest Maine coon, but without needing the fluff to do so. He was a runt and I never expected to end up with this massive a**hole, but I'm glad I did. He acts just like me, only he's a cat and he's been by my side the last two years, begging for tuna and tearing up all my toilet paper, haha. I am unfortunately one who will require pain medication for medical reasons to be able to function for the rest of my life, and I truly hate that. I honestly couldn't tell you the last time it was that I woke up and felt good or I guess 'normal', whatever that is anyway. I just hate going down the wormhole of having my medication dosage raised over and over again and knowing that I have to rely on more and more as it destroys my body. I wanted to take myself off of it, even though my doctors advised against it, and I spent days on Google looking for some kind of hope that I could do that and be able to find some other way to be pain-free and function that didn't involve massive amounts of narcotics. I happened upon Kratom, looked at a lot of information and decided it couldn't hurt. It's been over a year of trial and error with me wasting so much money on low quality product or decent with an outrageous price tag from the vendors I was buying. I was at 200-300 a month that I was purchasing and barely making it last until the next. I was excited to find the forum, which I came across while searching for a new vendor because I know there has to be a better product and a better price for the amount I need. I just ordered from Pharmacy Drop-Out and my order should arrive tomorrow, so I'm very excited to try it. I had a little snag due to not knowing a lot about how to speak in the terms necessary for the safety of everyone involved in the business, but he was really great and taught me a few things and sent me to some resources for that. I wasn't expecting to speak to anyone directly, which is why I think the confusion came about and I'm really glad he stuck by me and took the time to help me understand everything. The reviews have all been great for the company and I'm fairly certain the quality will probably be better than that I've been paying an outrageous amount compared to how much I was receiving. I will be buying every month for the rest of my days as long as it is possible, and each time I find a new vendor and decide that it's better, I also pass it along to quite a few friends that I have introduced to this great plant as well. Like me, most haven't heard of it but they've all been happy with it and a couple have really helped their lives by using it instead of the things they were doing. I'm actually quite antsy waiting for it to arrive since everything I've read has been really positive. I haven't been excited for a package since the first time waiting for it to come and wondering what it would be like. I will probably beat myself up over the money I've wasted the last year or so on sub-par product, but I guess that's just the process of it all. I owe this forum to finding the reviews on them and am really confident in thinking it will definitely be worth the switch. There are a few shops locally that sell it, but it's expensive and terrible. I hate the burn, I will admit to that. Absolutely disgusting to me, so I've not been able to have the pleasure of trying tea because of that. I laugh sometimes because due to my medical issues I cannot gain weight, I try so hard and eat constantly but am stuck at 92 pounds and looking like my 9 year old niece, so I enjoy my daily burn with my Ensure in hopes of someday gaining a couple of pounds. I think I keep that company in business along with retirement homes, lol. I have a lot in common with the people that live there, which really isn't that cool once you think about it. Kratom has really helped give me somewhat of a life back and I will be forever grateful. My child is insane and extremely hard to keep up with and there is no way I could do it while still being on narcotics. Just not having the side effects is amazing in itself. I've had to do a lot of different things to find how it works best with my body and think I've finally found my groove. Although from what I've read I need to start small with the order I have coming because with where I get it from now I have to burn a pretty hefty dose of 10-15 g to find relief, and I don't want to make myself sick from doing that if it's going to be as good as they say it is. I think it will be 3 days tomorrow when it arrives but that isn't bad considering I'm literally on the coast of Virginia and that's across the entire country. If you have any tips for burning or anything please share. I've been at it for a while but still have a whole lot of learning to do. I'm so glad that it helped you overcome that prison which those medications put you in. It's no way to live but for people with pain it is the only option doctors give you. It upsets me that they know what the road leads to every time they write that prescription and hand it over. Even for someone taking it correctly every time, your body still ends up needing more and more, trapping you in that ever vicious cycle and taking away part of your life with it. All is well here, the grandparents came to visit the baby and I had the worst thing ever happen, for the first time, while they were here. We walked into the living room with my kid standing on the TV table smearing his own feces onto the table, PS3, himself, and the television. It was terrible, so so bad. I'm now in constant fear of this occurring again, while I'm by myself, and just standing there not knowing what to do, lol. I had help this time and I'm so glad I did. Kids are disgusting. Hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying another day of not being destroyed by pain.

The taste does suck. I just dump it down and chase it with water about 1g or so at a time. I'm probably going to buy a capsule pressing "machine" from Capsule Connection soon enough. I used to have one but got lost years ago during a move. It's pretty efficient, especially if you have the "000" size (the large capsules). You won't have to take as many with the 000's (there equivalent to about 600mg ea.) and best of all avoid that sickeningly earthy/wet grass flavor.

I use capsules myself with size 00 caps with the machine from capsule connection. It's way fast and easy to get a dose down. Pharmacy dropout is by far my favorite I believe it's the freshness of Jeff's kratom that makes it so good. I kinda beat myself up after finding PD, I realized I had been wasting money with other vendors. You will love Jeff's kratom, I do! The green Bali is really energetic for me, pretty much all his strains are top notch quality with top notch effects.

I actually can't find the "000" capsule connection machine. Do you find the "00" to be enough? Maybe this is what I had. I had the "0" for smaller stuff then I got what I thought was a "000" but it was most definitely capsule connection so perhaps I'm mistaken. This was years ago.

SELF CORRECTION: After quick research it does look like, in fact I was using "00" for my large capsules (Kratom) and "1" for smaller stuff.

I will have to check those out. It seems like a reasonable investment since I plan on continuing with Kratom for however long I may. I have friends that have no issues and I think actually enjoy feeling like they've stood behind a car stuck in a mud hole with their mouths open, I am not about that life though. Also, I take Benadryl religiously each night and hope for sleep, but I've noticed that if I take it within a few hours of my nightly burn that I almost always vomit. Every single time. It seems to be a new development so maybe it was just something with the last order I got. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all, but then I'll think I'm safe and wait 3-4 hours and take them and then it happens. It's confusing so I figured I would ask in case someone else has had the issue. My body is all sorts of wonky and malfunctioning so it may just be something to do with my health issues. It's not something so serious to make me stop either, just a bit annoying at times and wasteful. I drank Orange juice for months as well with no issues with the morning one and now I've had to switch to using milk-based things for the same reason, so it's probably just me. Regardless, I have nothing but praise for Kratom as a whole. My husband is an overly cautious, crazy grandma worrier and even if my doctors give me an antibiotic he's on the phone with his pharmacist dad asking about it, lol. So for him to let me purchase it every single month is really saying something. I let him do his own research, and he felt fine about it and is still really supportive so it's been helpful. Do people also look at you crazy when you tell them about it? Most of my like-minded friends hopped aboard with me and have really great things to say, but sometimes people look at me like I'm nuts. Either way I don't particularly care because it really assists me with not wanting to throat punch people on a daily basis, which seems to be frowned upon in society.

yeah the size 00 can hold almost a gram, I usually take 12 of them which is around 9 or 10 grams. Some red strains are good for sleeping for me anyway, like red horn Malaysian, or the red vein Borneo, I like to take those in the evening to help me relax and I usually sleep pretty good all night.
