Hey ILK,

I came across this article today, and just wanted to post it for everyone here to see. Susan Ash has been working to reverse the bans on Kratom in Wisconsin recently, and from the looks of it, things are going well. Check out the article for yourself:

watchdog.org/249079/wi-kratom-ban/

When we had to stop shipping to Wisconsin, I was not excited to deliver the news. We had some really loyal customers out there that we would love to have back. Go Susan and the AKA!

Thanks for sharing that article here, Adrian. Tomorrow's the day the Controlled Substances Board will decide on whether to rescind the ban or leave it in place.

The AKA (americanKratom.org)organized a letter-writing campaign, especially with residents of Wisconsin participating and also others who are concerned. I don't have a final letter count, but I heard it went well. I wrote them one.

That was a very favorable article, with a sympathetic libertarian writer pulling together the evidence for legal kratom very well.

Thanks again for posting that here. We're hoping for some good news out of the meeting tomorrow.

It's good to see the Controlled Substances Board in Wisconsin is at least considering testimony from the likes of AKA ED Susan Ash, and citizens like Kerry Biggs. At least the potential is there for Kratom to be descheduled. The fact that is listed as a schedule 1 substance is completely ridiculous!

I am prepared to fight off any legislation here in NJ that attempts to ban Kratom. It looks like it will be back on the agenda here in the very near future. Another unfortunate attempt to lump Kratom in with other "legal highs" that will need to be confronted. I am ready to help share the truth about Kratom, and prepared to do whatever it takes in a respectful and proper manner.

Thanks, Chuck, for your offer to help in your home state. We'll need it. That, I've heard, could be a tough fight.
Somehow, though, we've found the strength to win in every contest we've been in, so far. Louisiana was easy. Florida, Susan made it look easy. And Alabama, we pointed out to the sheriffs that kratom was legal in their state, after they had raided a few convenience stores. (IDK if they ever returned the merchandise they stole...) Now, just last week they came back and threatened store owners and employees with jail, if they didn't get rid of all kratom-containing products. I don't think they've returned Susan's call yet on that illegal act. We will assist in getting that straightened out.
Wisconsin may give us some happy news tomorrow -- or, they may not. Lots of conflict of interests on their Controlled Substance Board there, but we'll post the news tomorrow at about 11am EST.
Stay tuned! One of us will post a press release on our Web site: www.AmericanKratom.org

Paul, I will do whatever you and Susan ask of me to help our cause. I have spent the better part of this year educating myself about this wonderful herb named Kratom. I believe I can be a good, well-spoken advocate who can engage in a respectful dialog with the legislators who will be considering the bill to ban Kratom.

I also happen to know the doctor behind the bill, Dr. Infantolino, who used to be my mom's PCP and is still in that role for my brother's family. It's no surprise that he has a problem with Kratom. Part of his practice is "helping" those with substance abuse issues, and he's one of the few doctor's locally who can prescribe...you guessed it: Suboxone! He has a vested interest in a Kratom ban, since it might hurt business otherwise!

As I said, I will do whatever is asked of me to fight this bill. I'm always here, and I'm registered with the AKA as well, Paul. Thanks for all you, Susan Ash and all the other fine folks at the AKA do! It is much appreciated!

Did you see our final Press Release from the Wisconsin meeting today, Chuck? Here it is. It was more positive than what I heard at the time: www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/a-step-...onsin-300186523.html

That's excellent Paul! Congratulations to the AKA for getting the truth across to the CSB, and here's hoping they will deschedule Kratom in the near future.
