Hey everyone! It has been forever since I posted here and am glad to be back. I want to start by saying this forum helped me so much when I first dove into kratom using it to get off of suboxone. Others, not from here, told me I may be just kicking the can down the road having to eventually stop taking kratom and still experience withdrawal. I have to admit it was in a way the truth.
When I started to taper it felt like I was coming off the bupe or sub, we all use different words when it comes to that horrible nasty orange flavored pill that dissolves and magically makes your cravings and withdrawal vanish (sarcastic). When I first started kratom I was careful about sticking to only 3 doses a day at around 3g per dose. It worked well for a long time but suddenly I started to abuse it. I was up to around 30g a day (that is the real reason w/d was so bad). In addition I was trying vendors that were less expensive so in part the kratom was not the quality I was used to, that is just a small part. It did however make me have to taper, I cannot afford that kind of habit? I tried cold turkey for 2 days and it was a nightmare. Restless legs and up and down mood swings, but considering the times I had given up actual opiates not nearly as bad. I finally gave in and ordered some to take 1 small dose per day and really think about what led my use to that amount. The answer was stress. I realized I took a dose every time I felt anxiety and it only led to more anxiety. There is a ceiling on kratom and going above it is just like flushing money down the toilet. I do suffer chronic pain and unless I am dying no doc in my area will prescribe me pain meds anymore. I was on prescription morphine and went from that to the sub and by choice. Well my pain led me back to kratom but much more carefully this time. If I have to tell on myself and start going overboard this forum has great support for that. I am now sticking to my original dosing schedule and my body needed that break so that I would start to get the benefits again. I also can skip doses from time to time to keep tolerance down. I am not sure this has helped anyone else here but it has helped me to write my story. I am Rose and I realize too much of anything is bad. Binge watching netflix for 36hrs, overeating, smoking too much it is all not good for your overall health. Thank you all, this is the first forum I ever joined and I am thankful to all of you. I will visit more often now because the difference is that people care here.

Hey Rose,
Following what lerellen said, & I will say it too, thank you for your very honest post. For all other newcomers that read all these post, the way I choose to keep my tolerance in check, and I say again all options don't work for everybody. But I take 3 doses daily, but with each dose I take potentiaters with each dose. So for me & my own personal experience, potentiaters allow me to take less of my Kratom, but them gives me the same effect as if I had taken the regular dose of Kratom. Thank you for the post everyone! Have a good Sunday! Justin ![]() NO PAIN,NO ANXIETY,YES KRATOM!

I just want to thank all of you for your words of encouragement. I have been sticking to my smaller doses and have felt much better. I ordered a Bali that has been working well and will be the only strain I will have for a while so it will be easier for me to cut doses and move them around to keep my tolerance in check.
I have read a lot about potentiators and have had colds and took medicine with dxm in it while on kratom but honestly it made me wobble even at low doses. I think there are herbs I will look into that benefit other things also and maybe give one of those a try. I honestly took more when I just wanted something because of my prior addictions. Kratom has a ceiling on it and it was not working at those doses anyway just raising my tolerance. For anyone needing a break I strongly suggest tapering down whenever possible. Again thank you for the encouragement. It helps keep me honest about my use since no one I know even knows what it is. Trying to explain to others they just think I am cross addicting and thats not the case. Chronic pain is more dangerous because I may reach out for something I should not have and many of us know what that can do in the long haul.

I recently was able to cut my last dose of the day. I figured out my evening dose was not working anymore. So I am just keeping my tolerance up and wasting kratom by taking out of habit. Now my afternoon dose is so much better. I have been on the same strain for a while and not noticed any changes in the afternoon dose either. So I learned for myself, I can stick to 1 or 2 strains that work the best for me. Happy Holidays everyone!

Believe me Kratom is much Safer to use than Morphine or Suboxone. You are learning more about what works for your Body Chemistry. Good to know. I would say slowly cut down your Dosages each time you take a dose if you don't want to Waste Kratom & find the Perfect Dose for You. Less Is More.
![]() If anybody has any Questions about Kratom please private message me or make a Post & I will be glad to answer as soon as I can usually within 24 hours if not sooner. I'm usually on really late at night Between Midnight & 5am.
