Hi all. I posted in the General Discussion first... oops. It was about if daily use was okay or not.

I decided to try Kratom because my Dr gave me Tramadol for cramps. I didn't like how it affected my mood and didn't want to take it every month. Kratom works so much better!

It just so happens I also decided to stop taking my Adderall after 8 years and I'm hoping Kratom might help me focus and with energy. So far I've tried 3 white strains (White Borneo, White Maeng Da and Horned White). I noticed a SLIGHT energy/focus boost but only when I mixed it with a green. I don't think Kratom is gonna help with my ADHD but that's ok.

It is helping with my anxiety & depression.

Anyway, hello nice to meet you all!

Hi Lelu and welcome to the forum :) I'm sure you'll like it here, there's a pretty good group of people on this site and many have a wealth of information. I mainly use the red strains for depression, anxiety and panic attacks. Basically you have to try different ones to see what is right for you as it effects everyone differently.

Thank you so much for the welcome! Would you say it has helped a lot with your depression & anxiety?

I've tried every strain and so far none really give me much energy but maybe it just affects everyone differently. Red makes me TOO relaxed. I think Green is perfect for me.

Hi Lelu, yes most definitely it has helped with depression and anxiety. I've dealt with this for years and just discovered Kratom maybe 6 or 7mnths ago. I was a little apprehensive to try it at first, due to negative/false media coverage, but I'm really glad I did.....finding this Herb and this website was the best thing ever. I've taken antidepressants and anti anxiety meds for years, hopefully now I can get off of them, although I'll need to wean off gradually. I remember the first or second time I took Kratom, I thought....."so this is what it's like to feel good" it had been so long that I'd forgotten. I believe the most challenging part is finding the right strain and dosage that works for you.......and that just takes trial and error. There are some members here who have been using this for many years and have a wealth of information and are always ready to help out with questions. Again.....welcome and enjoy the forum.

Also, you may want to look into what they call potentiators, like grapefruit juice etc they help with absorption of the Kratom. I believe there's some articles about them on the site or you can google "Kratom potentiators"

Hey lelu Welcome to the ILK Forum. Very glad to have you here. If you take tramadol every day for awhile when you get off of it it has some very nasty withdrawals unlike Kratom. Kratom's withdrawals are not nearly as bad as any opioids. Kratom can help with so many ailments. I take it for Depression, Anxiety & insomnia.

Shaman 737 is right there are so many good people here willing to help you out here. Also you have to try Kratom out for awhile. Try different Strains, different doses & different blends or mixing kratom strains together to find what works best for you. Kratom effects each person differently. :-?
