In December my life took a dramatic turn for the worse when my 39 year old wife went into the hospital. She passed away in March after a grueling, dramatic hospital stay. Due to all this and my background as a veteran I have all the symptoms of PTSD (I was an 0351 in the Marines). The death of my wife was much harder than anything I've ever gone through though. I now find myself a single parent trying to pick up the pieces. Which is where kratom has literally been a lifesaver. A buddy introduced me to it and it has literally given me the ability to function at a normal level. I've been taking it for a couple months now, every day. Prior.to kratom I was thinking of taking my own life. My wife and I bought a new RV last year and, after my wife died, I found myself driving to our favorite camping spot trying to work up the courage to shoot myself. Since I found kratom, all those thoughts have gone away and I've realized that I have to be around to care for my daughter. I was just so damn sad I couldn't take it anymore and every night when I tried to sleep my mind was back in the hospital going over things. Xanax that I got from my doctor is nowhere near as helpful as kratom. I can say that it literally may have saved my life. I know a lot of folks take kratom for physical pain, but I am here to tell you that, for me at least, it has been me relief from emotiinal pain as well. Another thing I've found helpful for anxiety and insomnia is a device called the Apha-stim that I got from the VA. It's an electrical brain stimulation device that you use for 20 minutes per day. It's nowhere near as helpful as kratom but I am still appreciate of it.

Sorry for such a heavy introduction but I just wanted to be clear how grateful I am to have found kratom (thanks to a friend of mine).

Thanks a lot, msolis. This seems like a good place to find good vendors and learn more about kratom. It's almost like a hobby for me at this point and I've tried about ten different vendors so far. One thing I've noticed among kratom vendors is that they're very reliable and fast. There is a lot of competition out there and it seems like it makes vendors super reliable and inexpensive. I want to try some of the ones mentioned here like Pharmacy Dropout and Top Notch Kratom. I've been mostly using vendors I learned about from reddit and youtube.

I think you're right about the amount of vendors. New ones are popping up every day. I can't say much about reddit other than I personally know that there are a lot of cut throat vendors that disguise as users just to bash other vendors to stomp out the competition. Here, we are all on the same page and try our best to weed out the bad ones and promote responsible kratom use. Kratom doesn't need any bad or false publicity being thrown out there to help the media and big pharma corporations. If a vendor is on the approved list then you can trust they have been tested and reviewed by people on this forum. Pharmacy dropout is a well known and trusted vendor along with SoCal and many others. Best of luck to ya!

Welcome to ILK CHtorr280,

My name's Michael and I'm the mod here at ILK. Any questions concerning the site or Kratom itself can always be directed to my e-mail and I'll do my best to help you out!

You have quite the story my man, and you sound like an amazing guy. That's so much to go through that I couldn't begin to imagine how I would deal with such a situation. It makes me incredibly happy to hear that you've pushed through, and has given me even more amazement over Kratom. The fact that you can accredit your positive mindsets through such troubles to this plant is amazing.

Keep on keeping on!

Welcome to the forum! I am truly sorry for your loss. From one stranger to another, i'm glad you're still here.

I also have PTSD, from childhood trauma. I first found kratom after a psychotic break that left me injured and in a mental hospital. In addition to some years of therapy and some truly wonderful friends it has helped me become a productive and impassioned person. It's a truly a wonderful tool. This forum is a fantastic resource, as well as just a supportive community of empathetic people. Welcome.

Your post is awesome. Thank you for sharing that. I'm really happy to hear that kratom had helped with your PTSD. I think it's the number one thing that has helped me. No medical treatment or.counseling can compare. I'm simply too desperate to rely on conventional medical wisdom which is often closed minded and only concerned with profits. Thanks to the internet we can find things that actually do work.
