Nice to meet you Ryano, :-h I also used kratom to get away from my opiate addiction. And try my best to help others do the same, that wish to stop. I wrote a blog for this site actually about stopping opiate abuse using kratom. I am hoping it gets posted soon as Michael is reviewing it now. I always like hearing of kratom helping others to get their life back. Kudos to you man for trying to help others as well. Its a pleasure to meet you. :-bd

If you dont mind me asking do you still use kratom, or did you only use it when u needed it?

No I don't use it now, in the past I would stock up and give it to people who were trying to clean them.selves up and needing a helping hand, I just noticed when I tried to order tonight no vendors are supplying Tn anymore and got on a forum to chat and keep updated on the legislation part, I had a very harsh addiction and when i found Kratom I was like why don't every 1 know about this....lol.

Ryano: You might consider joining the American Kratom Association (www.americakratom.org) and/or join our Facebook group, where you will be informed of opportunities to write to key legislators, as we try to get that bad law reversed. Our FB group is "Tennessee AKA for Kratom".

Stay in touch that way. We'll do our best to make it easy for you. There will be email templates on the AKA Website and TN group page when it's time to do some mailing.

Thanks!
;)

Absolutely, I belive they dragged Kratom threw the mud for the wrong reasons, and how Kratom works and the reasons it works Flys over alot of legislation members heads they have nothing to compare it to besides drugs like subutek, suboxone, and methadone which can be as harmful as the drug the the person was trying to get off of to begin with, being on the ambulance I've gotten to see almost every drug you can think of overdosed including kratom, And my argument has been the treatment used for overdose to classify it as dangerous, most opiate over dose is treated about the same way which makes for a good platform for comparison, for instance percocet, hydrocodone, oxycotin, oxycodone, for instance get the standard treatment of o2, iv, and if not breathing narcan with a established airway if needed, but there's 1 instance where people are in desperate measures to get something to get out of with draw and the whole reason I joined to try and help Is I had a 28 y/o male around 200 pounds I picked up on the ambulance that used a drug called Loperaimide "This was my first lethal run in with this drug" and not matter what I did he would not wake up or get his stats to recover and later died at the hospital and I couldn't get it through my head how.... I mean I used the same treat as cocaine users and oxycotin, and he should of been wide awake talking to me... so I broke down and asked what was this lethal powerful drug narcan didn't touch was.... Loperimide is anti diareha medicicne... and mega dosed it pass the blood brain barrier and an actual opiate people had started using in a desperate attempt for narcotic maintence,.... you can get it about any store that sells medicine over the counter, walmart, dollar general, kroger, gas stations even, and it's a drug with a growing death rate, and cared to my experience with 2 ppl that mega dosed kratom was dwarfed in comparison, the kratom user WALKED to the ambulance "with some assistance, very nausus" but alert and breathing on his own.. and was treated with fluids, o2 and a into nausea medicince, and once at the hospital this is were they watched him for a bit made sure he ate an gave the guy something for stomach cramps and a head ache and released him to go home..... so this is were I see the pros and cons come in, to date my I've given right around 200 to 300 people info on Kratom and I've told them how I used it over 10 week period to come off a 5 year addiction, I know alot of them either came off narcotics using kratom or use it as needed, there are some people that has no intent on changing and you can not help some 1 not willing to help them selves, so if there's any way I can help I will and if any 1 needs help or info on coming off opiates Pm me, I'd be more than happy to help.

Very interesting story. I don't think I would be able to handle being a paramedic. My uncle does that and he's seen some really horrible stuff, I don't think I'de be able to sleep at night.
