Much good will come out of this epic meeting, I predict.

So yeah, I got a new sample pack today. This new stuff is a bit stronger, evidently, than the Kratom I was using before. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it means I have to reevaluate my usage, my dosage. Good grief, this process is exhausting.

YES...that is part of the great Kratom experiment and points out how improtant it is to find a few vendors with product that works for you and stick with them!

Great line, Seven100! “This process is exhausting”. It’s so TRUE. Anybody not in pain would NOT BOTHER unless they have lack of direction in life.

Kratom is worth the hassle, but it’s not an easy relationship to have!

You know what Laurie and @bomally ? It was all my fault. I had a bunch of samples from the first vendor that I purchased from. I weighed them to begin with and determined that a certain sized spoon full was equivalent to a gram weight, and just started eyeballing doses from that point forward. Then I got the new stuff and did the same thing.

First thing I noticed about the product from the new vendor was that it was a lot more finely ground and easier to ingest. Then I noticed stronger effects. When I got around to weighing the new stuff, I realized there was a lot more Kratom in a baker's spoon of the new stuff than the original "fluffy" product. So I was taking more, no wonder.

Having said that, the new Kratom is still better in that it has 'longer legs'. Unless I find myself stuck at work for some reason, I don't even need a second dose. It's kind of fabulous not to have to worry about that. On the other hand though, if I do have breakthrough pain, it's a bit harder to get rid of after the fact than it usually is to just take that preemptive dose. sigh.

I'm still learning.

Seven:

I think I have the same experience with pain. If my Kratom dose does not handle the pain....then it does not matter how much I take, NOTHING will work.

PAIN is a complex phenomenon and I have always said the Kratom WILL NOT CURE chronic pain. It will, however, provide some relief so you can engage in other more curative therapies and there are many of those!

I think you have learned the value of weighing your Kratom instead of measuring with a spoon!

Oh yeah, I've signed up for a soft yoga class as well. A class recommended by my acupuncture guy. I used to to do yoga every day, the real rough and tough stuff, but after the broken bones I gave up for a while. I have a frozen shoulder now, but I'm going to try.

You seem pretty brave actually, and I'm so proud of you. It's sad that so many of us have to seek solutions for our own health problems,

You said a mouthful, Seven100. Who has the energy to advocate for themselves while in acute pain?! What a conundrum...

Seven...Yoga has been my saving grace through all of this.

I has helped to straighten me out, improve posture and strengthen and stretch all my joints. Great improvement in core strength too which is a must for improving back pain.

So overall a great reduction in pain BUT, it is still painful to move so Kratom helps there. I am determined NOT to stop moving, that is a sure way to an early admission to the nursing home.

So even if the yoga is painful or makes things worse at first ...do not give up and use Kratom to help you through.
