Hey there folk, I’m a relatively new Kratom user (8 months or so). Recently found this site, it seems like a fantastic resource for the unexperienced like me!
I got into Kratom after a few botched surgeries. I was sick of taking the prescribed narcotics and was looking for an alternative that still aided in pain management more than Advil, but also didn’t alter my life in other ways. I live a very active life in the gym and on hiking trails, after taking the prescribed pain meds, these activities would become harder to do. But with Kratom, I can still get an awesome pump at the gym, or hike up a mountain and not feel the lethargic drain on my system, if anything, those activities were enhanced with a gleeful gusto (depending on the strain used). For anyone curious what I use, I’ve found Red Horned Sulawesi is the best for straight pain (when I’m staying in for the night), while the Super MD they sell helps with the pain but in a lesser way, but with added mood enhancements (when I head to the gym or the trails). Sometimes I also do a spot of Red Thai for a sleep aid. I strictly buy from (Unapproved vendor *edited by admin) know, since the owners taken such good care of me and has all the strains I like. Always looking for strain suggestions if anyone has em.

Anyhow, sorry for my rambling, just wanted to share my experience with this wonderful substance so far and to say hello to everyone.

Great intro! Rambling is encouraged! You are among friends who also find the leaf helpful and returns us to freedom. Everyone will introduce themselves and there’s a lot of information here for you. Welcome!

hi novais!:-h

yes we are all in some way similar srories, but frankly it all boils down to pain. physical, emotional, or sometimes both! im intolerant to traditional pain meds and couldn't take nsaids due to reflux, so hubby and I both found the leaf out of desperation. the only thing that has improved my life more is finding this forum and meeting the people here. there are many 'approved' vendors.. not from $ advertising. many are forum favorites. in sense/ gold leaf, christophers organic botanicals, pharmacy drop out, PA botanicals, natures cure, inland, tea time, list goes on..one of my faves is Oregon kratom but they are out right now.. im sad  but many other options. there are a few most of us have/ will tried that are not forum approved but we mention them in vendor review rooms or 'strains' or by private message.

see im rambling too! lol many of us take nighttime herbals for pain/ sleep. the wonderful people here helped lead me in the right direction. my faves are in senses corydalis or skullcap. its a good way to quiet the mind, help with pain and sleep, and keep my tolerance as low as i can if i take days and most nights off of k. anyways, happy to have you. the bigger the family the better the parties!

Welcome.... I have just recently joined the forum as well. Not so new to kratom (off and on about 5 yrs) but when I found out how much better things were getting in online ordering. Actual vendors who tested their product for consistency and such, this did not exist when I first started. I am transformed for life. I do not expect to be going back to synthetic opioids any time soon. This forum is a wonderful source of encouragement, information and just plain fun. Explore everything so you can find out what is the best for you.

yes, I get cha.. my husband and I went 2 feet in kinda blind.. I mean your tube and gooble searches worked when it was needed but I have learned so much more here. don't be afraid to ask specific questions. theres always gonna be someone that can help. and a lot of the approved vendors give us discount codes, too.
