Welcome to the best kratom forum yet, Nelnel85!
Congratulations on the decision! It’s a BIG decision but not as scary as we envision!

Plenty of suggestions are following my welcome.

Hopefully you have done some reading here first,

Welcome!

You might be surprised how quickly you can make the switch.

Many peeps have documented here about switching between meds and kratom (alternately) in the same day! But definitely work on getting your sub dose size down as well as you feel comfortable and then start rotating to fully enjoy SOME of what kratom offers.

There are SO MANY subs jumps here. Your anxiety will be the hardest part and that is simply anxiety based on missing doses in the past, withdrawals of the past, etc. That anxiety can be wiped away in your first 12-24 hours and you’ll realize YOU CAN DO THIS and ITS NOT AS DEBILITATING and all-consuming of your life!

I can’t wait for you to tell me I was right! EDIT <—-sarcasm!

We have some amazing people here to hold your hand if you like or only answer questions - you are in control and that is the joy of freedom you now seek.

Hi nelnel85,

So great to have you , what a wonderful place/ community / family you found ...

Folks have had great success getting off opiates / subs using kratom ... you can totally do this ..

I’ll list a few vendors that are great :

Benni Botanical
Soflokratom
Fused Flora
Otie’s
InSense/ GoldLeaf
Nature’s Cure
LuckyHerbals
And many more .... Benni and Fused flora have great sample options ... InSense has great option as well...

I take kratom for chronic pain and the depression and anxiety that followed suit ... but kratom has been a game changer .... life is much better now that I’m off all prescription meds and have kratom helping with my ailments , really the best herbal tool out there ... better at helping than anything else I’ve found ...

This can be done ... getting off the subs , collect some kratom in preparation, refs and greens will be very helpful , golds too.... read find a vendor rate a vendor section in index ... lots of reviews on great vendors and the products they offer !!!

Please ask any q’s , more folks are here to help in all the ways they can !! (L) (L) (L) (L)

Take care

Brandon

hey nelnel!

im so glad I saw this!!!!!!!! if it wasn't for my husband getting off suboxnone I wouldn't be here.. and in crazy pain.. but enough about me!

it was very easy for him. surprisingly. he has weened himself and gone cold turkey. couldnt take it. shakes, nightsweats, PAWS like crazy. even after going down to less than a 2 gram strip.

on a day he was ready, after weening, get ready to take your first dose instead. if possible on a day off or if possible not have to go in right away. I recommend you get at least a 3 oz starter pack of your choice vendor. a red, green, and white is a good way to start. I recommend trying all of these separately to see how you react to them. a 2 g dose is a good way to start. that's typically a flat bakers teaspoon. you can get a scale or spoon scale later.

typically, whites give you energy, greens are middle of the road for pain and mood and energy, and reds are the most sedating. but typically the best for most for pain relief.

right now my favorite mix is re-leaf llc ( maine ) blend that they call fast mix. its 40 % red, 30 % green, 30 % white. they even have a blend called the addict. the nerv is awesome too.. and thyre having a 40 % off sale right now. but there are plenty of great vendors here you cant go wrong. inland, insense/ gold leaf, top extracts, fused flora, high sierra herbals, Oregon kratom, PDO, COB.. list goes on and on. gonna try benni next!

keep a lot on hand. with the holiday season fast approaching, you don't want to run out. in your transfer phase you can be taking the leaf every 4-5 waking hours. it will boost your mood enough that you will be happy and not care ( which is why I say keep a white on hand ) it helps with mood improvement and energy.

its easy to get the subs demon off your back if you want to enough. I know you can do it. by the way with kratom he had NO w/ds. none. seriously. and even skips days of kratom like me and is fine. I mean we both take akuamma and incarviella for pain but its manageable.

I truly hope this helps and please don't be afraid to ask me questions. ill respond as fast as I can. PMs seem to be a bit slow lately so post it here if youre comfortable.

Definitely get everything lined up in advance. You won’t need to be as prepared as you think. But we are all scared of subs w/d for good reason.

Wait until you have the necessities and are emotionally prepared. Then you will be pleasantly surprised by how quickly your switch goes and how much RELIEF will wash over you...

But don’t RUSH into it without preparation. Take the time you need. We won’t leave you, Nelnel85!
