Does anyone have any experience with taking Kratom while supplementing with Anabolic Androgenic Steroids?

I am a fitness model, and take a TRT dose of Testosterone, around 250mg per week split doses of 125mg.

I have found since starting my cycle, my tolerance has gone through the roof. My Kratom aroma only lasts around 45 minutes and it takes nearly double the amount to experience the motivating effects this beautiful little leaf is so famous for.

Any thoughts?

Loving the site by the way.

Good question.. I just started getting to the gym. I have a really high tolerance as is, but ill order some anabolic steroids and try it out. only one way to find out.
MAYBE the testosterone makes some of your receptors less sensitive. OR you could be developing your own tolerance slowly, it does grow quickly with daily use.
try some cats claw, turmeric, and balck pepprer and see if that helps

Wow, OT, but you know, what I always suspected maybe kratom sort of made it harder to gain muscle. I have a hard time gaining muscle anyway, just my genetic make up, too much estrogen, maybe, but I really don't know that k is to blame, it could be any number of things, but it seemed like when I started k, it got even harder to put on muscle, even lifting quite heavy(for me, 310 pounds on the leg press is the most I could do, I consider it heavy. I am a girl).

Anyways, From what I understand testosterone boosts metabolism on a couple of different levels. One is a more immediate effect, and another is a increase in muscle mass, which boosts metabolism, so I would guess that's the culprit. Faster metabolism=burning through your kratom faster.

Hey!

Did you ever figure out the solution to this?

I too just started TRT and Kratom has stopped working for me :(

I am not sure how testosterone affects opioid tolerance, but I DO know that opioids affect testosterone levels. All the research has shown that opioids depress testosterone levels so it is quite likely that Kratom has a similar effect since it is an opioid agonist... meaning that you would need MORE testosterone to get the effects you are seeking from hormone supplementation.

Some chronic pain specialists say that anybody with chronic pain taking opioid medication should be tested for testosterone levels.

There definitely is a relationship between testosterone levels and opioids.

Kratom hasn't negatively affected my test levels. About 5 yrs ago when I was 38 I had my test levels tested and it was 520 ng/dl. At this time I have never heard of kratom. Three or four months ago I had a complete blood panel including test and that came out to be 595 ng/dl and this after about a year of almost daily kratom usage. I suspect if people have lower test levels from kratom or opioids it could be due to lifestyle factors. Maybe they are not eating enough or the the right foods. Not enough sleep or exercise.

For TRT lowering kratom tolerance, that is interesting. I am not sure how and why it would.

Good to know. This months test will be the first one since stopping oxy and just using kratom so will be interesting to see what happens. Maybe supplemental testosterone dose can be lowered if I am not taking a drug that lowers it or it may take some time to regulate itself. Either way it is good to know your experience. One thing is for certain. Supplemental testosterone greatly improved my chronic pain, thereby helping me to get off the oxy.

I feel much better too, but it would be better if my body could do this on its own without supplementation.

Yes TRT has greatly improved my quality of life and reduced pain.

I would just like to get to the bottom of why Kratom is unable to produce its effects when using supplemental testosterone.

You seems like an expert.. Please let me know the true effects that kratom has on testosterone levels?
I have heard somewhere that use over time can lower the natural T-levels, but I can't find any true resources regarding this.

Long term use of opiates will lower testosterone levels. If you go into opiate use with testosterone levels already low then it will be much more noticeable. Lots and lots of pain all over.

I cannot find anything that suggests Kratom will likely have the same effect and WHY should it? as it is not an opiate.

All hormone levels normal for me now on all tests so as my doc says "Why mess with perfection?"

I would just like to get to the bottom of why Kratom is unable to produce its effects when using supplemental testosterone.

Never got an answer to this one...I wonder if spoony is still on the forum?
