I made a video hoping it would help. Please share with friends and people you know. (L)

Very well done. It's good to hear your story, in your own words.

Great Video. I feel bad for anyone who has had kratom banned in their state. You seem very much like a dude like me, a little older, but same body, build, same pains, arthritis, I also suffer from tendonitis in my shoulder from a torn rotator cuff back from when I played hockey, I also suffer from lower back pain from getting hit from behind a few years ago on the ice, just laid out flat, blindsided, I suffer almost every day. I also took a slip down some stairs 2-3 years ago thanks to a friend who didn't shovel/salt his stairs.. and I basically drank/smoked/whatevered the pain away as much as possible, I was given tramadol, X-rays came out "normal", they say I have a contusion on the bottom of my left foot and gave me tramadol. I also suffer from anxiety, I am prescribed Kolonopin and also Subutex because I had a history of opiate abuse after playing hockey.. yes long story I apologize. Ever since Kratom, when lucky, I can go days without my pharmaceuticals, simply taking kratom, it fixes both my pain as well as my anxiety, with no or very little side effects/withdrawal. I wish I could ensure myself that kratom will always be conviniently available, as well as legal, I do not smoke marijuana, I do not drink alcohol, I am tired of opiates (which is probably why I prefer subutex to any opiates), I don't mind the benzo's, they've helped save my life come some panic/anxiety issues.

I feel for you and everyone in Kentucky, I'm in my early 30's, I took a beating playing hockey growing up, I pay the price every day. I had my fun, I drank a lot, smoked a lot, and did a lot of stuff in my early-mid 20's I regret. I've gone days with just kratom, unfortunately it is somewhat expensive, and I just have a horrible feeling it will be banned here in NJ some time eventually, so it's kind of hard to give up/toss the pharmaceuticals away... and you know 100% that doctors and big pharm will do everything imaginable to ban this wonderful herb... because they can't cash on it, basically the same reasons marijuana is illegal, both similar yet so different in their own ways...

Agreed, Johnnybee. If there's any place Kratom could be used to help people, it's Kentucky. Actually, anywhere in the US. The opiate epidemic is rampant where I live. Parents of young children are terrified, even in our idyllic little country community.

But not to hijack the thread- it's up to us, the ones who benefit from our herb, to speak up and be advocates for Kratom.

John, I have arthritis too (and I am quite young!). I have been experiencing constant pain more lately than ever.

You made some very valid points in your video, and strong ones at that. I am not a fan of Tramadol as it can not only cause seizures in non-epileptics, but severely lowers the seizure threshold for epileptics like me. Kratom has never interfered with my epilepsy.

I run a kratom publication site. If you don't mind, would you allow me to post this video on The Secret Garden Guide's Facebook and/or home page? I think we need our audience and potentially new audiences to hear some more personal testaments like this that give kratom the face of responsible individuals who have a valuable position in society. This association created by the media with "junkies" has to stop.
