Hello Kratom friends,
After a short time, and many dead ends,
I find myself, a sober women who is
going after Kratom the way I used to
go after dope. So I'm calling it quits.
Peace and Love always,
mareshan

I'm so sorry to hear that mareshan49. I know I am addicted to Kratom but if I didn't take Kratom then I would go after pills. So Kratom is the much better option for me & it has health benefits which pills have no health benefits whatsoever but killing pain & killing me after awhile. Nobody has ever died of a Kratom overdose but Hundreds die everyday in the US from ODing from pills. In the end it's your choice to make. I'm sad to see you go. Take Care Of Yourself mareshan49! Good Luck in the Future. :-bd Peace

I have to agree with madmax. I don't like recommending even Kratom to someone coming off of opiates. I feel a little bad, like I'm giving them a new habit. Then I think of what the failure rate is of staying clean off opiates and I think of all the good things about Kratom. It's cheap, legal, no overdoses, healthier than a lot of other stuff, and doesn't have you all doped out thinking no one will notice. Kratom is not like these drugs not at all. Either way I support you and hope the best for you. Remember most of it's mental. The telling ourselves we need more, and making up excuses to do more, and getting so scared of running out. Although most of that stuff comes more with the drugs than Kratom. Good luck. You can still stop in for some kratom talk once in a while. LOL

I think thats great for you to recognize you have a issue and wish you strength to overcome it. From reading your post this wont be your first time dealing with an addiction so you can do it.. godspeed.
It took me sometime to decided to use kratom and i was very educated on the pros and cons so i tread on thin ice with the upmost respect.
Your post is a excellent reminder for all.. Thankyou

I've been thinking about this all day. It's a serious issue and one we don't often discuss here. I chose this forum because the people here are thoughtful and mature and are not recreational users for the most part.It is used medicinally. Folks have carefully considered the effects kratom use will have on their lives, and have made a decision that the benefits outway the problems. I use it for pain, depression and anxiety. Like some here, I am an addict but kratom has removed my desire for alcohol and drugs. It's not like that for everyone, and if it goes south for me I hope I have the sense to recognize that as you have, Mareshan, and the courage to follow your path. I wish you the best of luck.

Kratom is just like that for me Laura. I have absolutely no desire for Opiates anymore. If somebody offered me any pills I would refuse them because I have Kratom to make me Feel More Normal & Not Feel High & The Depressed Like Opiates. The thing about Kratom is after the effects are over you don't feel all Depressed & Low like you do when you are on any Illegal Drugs. Kratom's effects just slowly subside.

I think most everybody on this forum isn't a recreational user & is either using Kratom for Pain, Anxiety, Depression, Opiate Withdrawals or they are Recovering Alcoholics or Addicts & not using it to get High & that's what makes this Forum stand apart from all the other Kratom Forums that see Kratom as a Legal High. Seeing Kratom as a Legal High is going to get it Banned everywhere. They are doing research at the University of Mississippi on Kratom. So that's promising.

It's always surprised me that Ole Miss is as progressive as it is...in that one area, of course. They've had the pot farm for decades. Can't wait to read their conclusions about kratom. (I know people who would love to break into that pot farm!) Not me, of course! lol
