Just like with tolerance, it's going to be different for different people. I've been taking about a teaspoon almost daily for about six years. occasionally i'll stop for a few days to see where i'm at. If you taper down by taking a half dose before bed, the next day just feels like a head cold and the night after that you might have trouble sleeping, but generally by the third day there aren't any lasting effects, at least for me. I had a friend who got some pretty terrible stomach cramps though.

If you taper down, It shouldn't be a problem for you. The real key to kratom is finding the right dose and treating it like the medication it can be. I have about 2 crushed leaf grams for tea in the morning and evening, Although I still carry around a small jar of powder for panic attacks. If you start upping your dosage, it's effects can start to be mitigated. Like everyone says on here. Less is more when it comes to kratom.

You do have a withdrawal, but you have a withdrawal from coffee as well as other things, Me personally Kratom withdrawal is nothing compared to most addictive things....I'd put it on the level of drinking Red Bulls for a year everyday and stopping. A little sweats and chills but if you've ever withdrew from opiates its cake! Put it this way, if I don't have any, (and I've taken kratom for a few years), if i'm out it's not a big deal, I want some but I'm not missing work or pawning my things to get more haha

a few months ago i did a fairly large dose of dmt and got a really strong message from it, and it changed the way i look at my life a lot.
since then i have only done kratom, and a beer every once and a while.
i see a lot of benefits from kratom, for one, it helped me stop drinking energy drinks and soda completely. gives me motivation with a little energy. i can take it and act normal around anyone unlike any other drug.

but the most beneficial part of kratom, is that it keeps me off other things that are much worse for my body. i dont want to end up digging myself in a whole later on down the road.

Abraxas & Planet2Life is Totally Correct about Withdrawals. It's going to be a little different for each person depending on how much long & how often you were taken Kratom. It also depends if you go Cold Turkey or Just Slowly Taper Down. Tapering Down is Absolutely the Best way to go. Cold Turkey can be quite uncomfortable but nothing compared to drugs like Opiates or Benzodiazepines. If you go Cold Turkey then you could feel your Skin Crawling, Sweating, Headache etc. Something like a big of a cold with Feeling Anxious mixed in but nothing as bad as Opiates or Benzos. Some will have worse Withdrawals than others. If you taper down then you should have very little if any side effects. Maybe a little Depression but that's about all. Just My Thoughts. :-?
