I noticed some companies use one leaf in their S&V and some use multiple leaves. Are the affects basically the same since it's not plain leaf or is there actually difference between single leaf based S&V and multiple leaf S&V?

I'm sure there is a difference. I have never tried it, but I know you tend to get a decent amount of actual leaf with the stem and vein. Where have you seen the single strain stuff? I always assumed it was basically the trash from stemming and deviening the leaves so it was usually mixed.

HB&Ms S&V, which I have, is red bali based. This S&V is okay for evenings or even to enhance other strains but I don't care for it on its own for a daytime burn.

The Happy Hippo stem and Vein is only from the Hippo I strain. I bought a pound of it when it was on sale for 50% off. Here is a review of it:

Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with it yet. I bought it with the intention of trying it for a week on its own and then doing it one to two.days each week to keep my tolerance low, but it hasn't really been necessary yet. The couole.times I did use it I didn't get the usual euphoria I get from plain leaf, but I probably also didn't use a high enough dose. I figure it will be useful at some point though. I couldn't pass up the sake price of 50% off plus another 20% off for using Dwolla as the payment method n

Yeah. Sounds like a good deal. Well, I would love to hear how it goes for you when you do use it for a while. I've been hesitant to buy some, but Menthol's review there was pretty convincing.

I received my S&V from Ohio Botanicals, so I will give it a try tomorrow. The S&V was inexpensive at $5.00 per ounce. It's a mix of all of their green strains.

Nice. I look forward to the info. I could really use something to cut my tolerance. I've heard a lot of mixed things about S&V.
