Hello everyone, I have a concern maybe someone can help me with here. I have had digestive "disruptions" lately taking Kratom. Not sure if it is the fact I have a sensetive digestive system/ instestines or what. I've read a lot of people who have similar issues as I do from Kratom have remedied it by making a tea vs toss and wash because ingesting the plant matter is rough in their intestines, But making the tea seems to take quite a bit of time from the methods I have read about, where the toss and wash method is way more convenient.

So I was wondering, if there is a toss and wash method that also can reduce the impact of intestinal sensetivity? Thanks, any input is greatly appreciated.

Drinking plenty of water helps when you toss and wash, or when you drink powder mixed with liquid.

I usually drink a couple cups of coffee and a glass of water before I take kratom. Then I drink a good-sized glass of water shortly after I dose. I don't chug it--- it's about 20 oz, and I drink it over the course of 20-30 minutes.

Tea isn't a lot of trouble if you make a few day's worth at a time. I keep mine in a labeled mason jar in the fridge. I make 3 days worth at a time of daytime blend and 3 days worth of evening red. Then I switch strains for the next batch of tea.

I go back and forth on method, depending on how cooperative my stomach is.

Thanks Dragon.. I actually drink a lot of water and eat a fairly healthy diet. I have the reverse problem with it lately than the common constipation complaint many people suffer from. It started as a gurgle in my stomach and few days later with my doses it's turned into a bigger issue in my intestines.

Like I said before I don't wanna stop taking it the toss and wash method if I can help it because of the convenience. But I will also be trying the tea method. Which brings me to another question, is it as potent if steeped for 15-20 minutes, vs the boil method first? And I've read mention of using lemon juice? I'm sorry, I'm still learning all this stuff lol. And it's nice to talk with people who've been enjoying this awesome plant for awhile.

I add lemon juice to the water when I make tea. It seems to help get more of the alkaloids to release into the water.

I simmer mine 25 minutes. I make a strong tea so I don't have to drink a lot of it.

1 1/2 to 2 cups water, 2 Tbl lemon juice, 6 or more grams kratom powder. I make 3 days worth of tea, so I put in 6 grams to make 3 daytime doses. I make a nighttime batch, too, with 12 grams for the batch so it makes three 4 gram evening doses. Bring water and lemon to boil, stir in kratom powder, reduce heat to simmer, and cover. Simmer 25 min, stirring occasionally to knock down the powder clinging to the sides. Strain. Refrigerate up to 5 days. Don't sweeten it until you're ready to drink it, as sugar or honey can make it develop bacteria quicker.

Another ILKforumite has issues with digestion with kratom and uses peppermint oil to relieve it. Try contacting madmax here about the other methods he uses to cut down on stomach/colon issues (he may not see your pm for a couple of days, but he'll see it). I recall a number of things are helping him, but I don't recall specifics besides the peppermint oil CAPS NOT STRAIGHT LIQUID

There's also Chimes. Ginger candies.

You can buy them on amazon. I've seen a 7-oz size and a pound of them, so that's a lot of candies. It's hard to find the all-ginger ones. They make a mango-ginger one and other fruited flavors, but the all-ginger ones are the best.

One vendor includes a few with your order. It's a nice touch.

I got "hooked" on those when Herbal Cafe sent them with an order! OMG YUM
I prefer the orange flavor. LOL NOT peanut butter. That seems like an odd flavor blend. Have you tried the peanut butter?

Yum. I love ginger anyways. And I know ginger is great for digestion. I need to add more ginger in my daily routine. I used to make ginger juice (boiled ginger in water steeped for 90 min.) When I made Kombucha regularly. I think I should make up another batch. Even just taking a shot of that a day might help. I'll look into those candies too.
