Hello,
I got a terrible headache from a white strain, so I researched how to stop it. I found this info & it worked for me: "Dairy will stop a current session in its tracks! If you find that you are having an adverse reaction to a particular strain or blend; and you need to clear out your burner before engaging in another session; anything dairy should do the trick. Yogurt, cheese, milk, even ice cream will kill your session. If you choose this method, it has been recommended (by several customers) to wait two hours before beginning another session".

From: blogkratom.blogspot.com. Start at top & keep scrolling down for interesting info on many aspects of the plant & its use. P.S. this blog is no longer active.

I learned from an opiate addict on another forum, that this is true for opiates also. Again, from what I've read on this site, it seems that it can be difficult getting a consensus on kratom experiences. Everyone reacts differently. If you need it, I hope this works for you. :)

Dramamine also helps with accidental oversized burns. I use 1/4 of a generic Dramamine - very helpful to stop the nausea/dizziness.
Thanks for the tip!

Well that's great to know for both sides of the coin. Would sure hate to be having a very good session and eat some cheese and then it's all over. But also good to know if things aren't going so good.

I haven't noticed dairy stopping kratom effects. In the evening I sometimes will have some greek yogurt with raisin and nuts about 45-60 min after kratom and never noticing it reducing or stopping the effects. In fact, I think it enhances the effects.

I rarely eat dairy, but when I do, it's ice cream, baby! The portion size is what I assumed was diluting the kratom effects (I don't eat just 2 tablespoons!). Large portions of food of ANY KIND stop kratom in its tracks - in my personal metabolism. It's helped me plan better meals, as some foods do not cause a problem, such as fruit and pretzels with almond butter (I stick with the 2 tablespoons of almond butter if relying on that kratom burn for a task after eating). More people who consume dairy should weigh in?

My mother mixes her Kratom powder with yogurt...no problem with diminished effects.

I avoid dairy so have no personal experience.

That's good to know cash mat. I do notice that whenever I eat Yogurt near when I have taken a Kratom Dosage that it dulls the effects quite a bit. Also when I drink Ensure it will stop Kratom from working as well. Thanks for the info. It may not work for everybody but it's some Excellent Info to have Handy just in case you have taken too big a dose & have a Headache, Dizziness or Nausea then any Dairy will stop it. Laurie is correct about the Dramamine as well. Benadryl works as well.

My protein shakes don't dull kratom effects at all. They are like ensure only less sugar and more protein. I use vanilla ones from Trader Joe's and pour them in my coffee each morning at my meetings. Lots of people have been intrigued about my protein drink/coffee creamer. Haha

I am leaning more toward the on the placebo effect for this one. First of all Dairy already does have natural opiates in it. In fact last year, studies were released that cheese does activate the pleasure centers like many drugs do. In rubuttle; the dairy lobby has pushed media stories to counteract the study, just google "cheese is not crack".

I am a meat cutter in a family grocery store and dairy/cheese products fly off the shelf more than any other product in food retail.

I myself honestly don't notice any difference when consuming dairy. There could be something with the opiate like molecules in dairy that may be blocking the receptors a bit but I would be very skeptical on its effectiveness.
As far as detox, it is said to avoid dairy products because they slow down the bodies ability to detox in a timely fashion.

I am not saying this is BS that dairy helps but I would not advise taking any prescription opiates and having a block of cheese on hand as a life line. Just saying. :-bd

Welcome to the best kratom forum EVAH, roadieratonga! So are you in agreement that dairy does not dull kratom? I find ANY large portion sizes are the cause of kratom deactivation. But NOT necessarily dairy. Although, the dairy issue could be true for that one person. And Madmax, since he also notices issues with his Ensure beverages, whereas I don't have any worries when consuming a protein shake 45 minutes after a burn.
Interesting how vastly different the leaf can be from one person to another.

Has anybody heard from Jasmin? Hopefully she's feeling WAY TOO GOOD to get online! ;D
