You may already be aware of this but magnesium helps. It helps with muscle pain as it is and is also a Kratom potentater.

Magnesium citrate is the most easily absorb-able in the body and magnesium oxide has the most magnesium per volume but does not have a easy absorbance.

Approximately 500 mg of Mg oxide may be equal to 350 mg Mg citrate.

Also if you happen to eat allot of processed foods, like canned heat n eat stuff or gas station food then you are more than likely magnesium deficient.

***************************************************************************************************
-The usual recommendation for magnesium is supplementation at the level of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA): 350 mg per day for adult males and 280 mg per day for adult females.-

Magnesium supplementation has been shown to have tremendous beneficial effects in the following health conditions:
Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Attention deficit disorder (ADD) with hyperactivity (ADHD)
Cardiovascular disease
Angina
Arrhythmias
Congestive heart failure
High blood pressure
Diabetes
Fatigue
Fibromyalgia
Kidney stones
Migraine and tension headaches
Osteoporosis
Pregnancy (toxemia, premature delivery, and other complications)
Premenstrual syndrome

I take 500 mg of Magnesium Oxide every day as a Supplement, For Migraines & as a Potentiator for Kratom. If you can't Sleep then take 1,000 mg of Mag Ox & it will just knock you out.

I took magnesium for many years BUT after about 3 years of green juicing every day and sticking to a clean plant based diet, I stopped taking it feeling it was not necessary as I was probably getting plenty in my diet.

I might have to rethink that decision. Do you take it WITH each Kratom dose?

Not that you asked me! But I take 1000 mg each evening for good intestinal flow in the morning :)
TMI

Regular magnesium, not the oxide type Madmax recommends, but I trust his suggestions wholeheartedly. I’m thoroughly maxed out on supps (spent all I can on my “aching disease”, but I’m happy with my choices and shouldn’t need anything more new for a while with the picralima seeds/Akuamma Cap’s from PDO AND InSense, also some corydalis from PDO)

Currently trying Red Devil Stem n vein along with their king BTG (not sure what that stands for) - FREE SAMPLE (no complaints) and king Green MD. The 3 together is lovely for a happy, pain free (almost completely - it fades for a few hours at a time currently) and productive day.

I don't take with every Dose but I take 500 mg twice a day. I've heard that Mag Citrate gets Absorbed better by your body. I've heard that 500 mg of Mag Oxide is Equal to 350 mg Mag Citrate. You know if you are taking too much Magnesium. You will start having some Diarrhea. Your Body tells you when something is not right with it or it's not working at 100%.

What Vitamins do you take Daily?

I stopped taking multivitamins about 6 months ago...it seemed redundant given the nature of my diet. I also take medication (3 times a day) that must NOT be taken with multivites SO it makes it a bit hard to schedule everything in.

I take vitamin D only ...otherwise I take herbs and DHEA.

When I was taking magnesium I took the Magnesium glycinate form as it is highly bioavailable and subsequently does not cause diarrhea. It is my understanding that the loose stools are a result of the magnesium that is not absorbed and stays in the bowel.

I suspect that I have challenges with absorption which would explain why I always need way more of something in order to get an effect. I have to take digestive enzymes and bile salts to get nutrients from my food.

Evidence is mounting that people who live without a gall bladder go on to develop malabsorption. Mine departed my body about 45 years ago. Nutritionally, things improved when I changed my diet and started taking digestive enzymes - my immune system loved it which is a clear indication that your body is receiving what it needs and is not being adversely affected by what you are ingesting.

I have tried lower doses of Kratom...no effect. BUT I have limited my Kratom intake to a single strain each of the last 3 days AND have managed to lower the number of doses to 3 from 4.

I am managing...but not much of a life. Pain increases with movement and being on my feet so in order to manage pain I have to limit movement and take long rests. Thankfully we have a good cable subscription!

I take a 50,000 MG Script Dose of Vit D once a Week because my D Levels were always really low. It really helps with Depression. So the Mag Glycinate is the Best Absorbed form of Magnesium? I probably need to be taking Digestive Enzymes as well. I have to take more Meds that the Normal person because my body doesn't break things down like it should & get absorbed. Thanks for the Info bomalley.

Usually the Less Meds you can Take The Better off You are. That's what I've always heard. Exercise & Diet is a Huge Part of being Healthy. If everybody in the US was on an Exercise Regime & ate a Healthy, Balanced Diet then their wouldn't be so many Obese People in the US. The US is the Fattest Nation in the World. I think because of the Easy Access To Fast Food. It's just around the Corner. Just so bad for the Body. I only eat Fast Food maybe once or twice a month because I know how bad it is.

I myself just take magnesium oxide 3 times a day and L-tyrosine 3 times a day.
I have read magnesium is very cheap in bulk powder on amazon. I also read some just Toss n Wash it with there kratom.
I think I'm going to look into getting vitamins and suplements in bulk powder. It Might be allot cheaper that way but that also depends on shelf life as well though.

Digestive enzymes are just EXTRA of the enzymes your body already produces. Look for a good assortment of enzymes for digesting fat (Lipase), protein (proteases) and carbs (amylase, sucrase, lactase etc)

Contrary to the popular saying that you are what you eat. You are NOT what you eat...you are what you ABSORB from what you eat! You also need adequate acid in your stomach to properly break down proteins and produce certain other nutrients.

Too much emphasis these days on reducing stomach acid instead of promoting it. Your body produces high pH enzymes (in the pancreas) which are dumped into the intestine when the stomach contents are emptied. Their job is to neutralize the stomach acid. If your stomach is not acid enough (a low pH of 2 is normal) then these alkaline secretions raise the pH level too high and you lose the ability to produce and absorb many nutrients.

Taking extra digestive enzymes with your meals can help with all of this.

Chiro this week and physio next week...I am hoping this will help the pain situation. The scheduled physio last week was cancelled and I think I really needed it. She does a GREAT job of manually adjusting my thorax alignment....I have been trying to go longer between appointments as things seemed to be holding well BUT this past 2 months have not been great. Getting sick with that virus and spending so much time in bed probably did not help anything either.

It seems I always take three steps forward and then two steps back! BUT at least moving in the right direction.

I hear you! I’ve been layed up twice with virus and the first thing I get is my back is completely wrecked AGAIN. Starting over AGAIN in the morning (still resting from the most current viral weekend in bed).

Please come tell Mom that Prevacid is not a good idea for (anything; and diverticulitis!). She never trusts my word. We’ll have to let the dr tell her on Nov 7 :(
