Okay- bare with me a little I am only a civilan- there has been a lot of posts about the chemistry of Kratom.
I remember too many years back the best prescription medicine I took for my back problems was the Bextra,(Valdecoxib is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug used in the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and painful menstruation and menstrual symptoms. It is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor.)
Bextra was withdrawn from the U.S. market in 2005.
The manufacturer of Bextra withdrew the drug from the U.S. market. because of safety concerns of an increased risk of cardiovascular events including heart attack and stroke.

Current NSAIDs provide very little results for me, when I took bextra everything was great. it helped. When they pulled it from the market I did not want to start the opioids meds so I was doing a course of cortisone injections. Cortisone injections are no solution to chronic pain management after 8 years of yearly injection I decided I was taking on too much risk. Plus the results where diminishing.

Anyway remembering that I once took a medicine that worked for me I googled a little. And found this information--- These findings suggest that mitragynine suppressed PGE2 production by inhibiting COX-2 expression in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophage cells. Mitragynine may be useful for the treatment of inflammatory conditions.

I will say again and again even without any googling that Kratom has given me excellent anti inflammatory results. Which is why I think I respond to pain management very well to most strains of Kratom even if I am not fond of the whites.
