After all my kratom research on potency and best and I'm only basing this off of reviews and not personal experience the best you can ever get is TKS signature green, and carpos maeng da. Carpos claims there is only but 1 tyoe of maeng da and that's green. White and red maeng da are just mislabeled, but I seriously doubt his vendor herb research is the only vendor with real actual maeng da. Based on this information you don't know who the hell has the real stuff. Can someone please clarify all my claims? Another thing that's pointed out is potency is based off the magnetic spikes on kratom, but I noticed you only see the spikes the first time you open a bag and then they disappear; or in my case.

Maybe my quest for potent kratom would be kratom powder with just a hint of extract. Does anyone do this?

Yes, I do that. But. I only RECENTLY started doing that after many years without.

It helps. But it’s expensive AND you must have serious self control as one dose of extract takes 24 hours to clear and another 12-24 hours of seriously higher tolerance levels. By sticking with less regular kratom (1/4 tsp each 4-6 hrs
during awake time) on the other days.

The point is: you must be cautious doing this. Extracts are abused AND blamed for various things as opposed to blaming the DECISIONS made when extract users suddenly spread incorrect rumors online about how hard their kratom withdrawal was.

I keep my Extracts out of reach to myself as well as others to avoid routine use.

What are you seeking to achieve, Frogshateme? You may have mentioned it, I forget now, if you did.

AND FINALLY. You haven’t even TRIED my favorite vendors yet. There’s no way you’ve found them all and they are the very best ones that you used.
There’s enough good product around.

This is static electricity and depends on the weather, moisture and other storage conditions. It also depends on the packaging...I have a vendor who packages in non-static pouches, so some packaging materials will cause this

It has nothing to do with potency. Potency comes from the concentration of the alkaloids in the leaf. This can be affected by MANY factors including climate and soil conditions.

You can waste a lot of energy and time worrying about potency. Find out what works for you and stick with it.

Who's your favorites? I just use it for the energy. Mood lift is good, but I'm so fatigue I asked my pulmonologist for adderal today

Researching Maend Da will make ones head spin.

Apparently Maeng Da was a grafted red and green tree for the best of both worlds. It's purpose was for the hard laborers to bring great energy, mood lift and pain relief. Before the last decade all there was to have would be Bali and Maeng Da. Since then due to demand and to stand out, they started adding region names and slapping Maeng Da on the batches that produces similar effects.

This is a excerpt from a blog back in 2013
"I spoke to a kratom farmer about what makes Maeng Da different. There are a few pieces to the puzzle. First off, I'm told Maeng Da originates as a Thai strain of kratom (Mitragyna speciosa), from mature green vein trees.

Now comes the "genetically grown" part. What is this mysterious high tech process? Well, it turns out to be the ancient art of grafting. Apparently, there is something magical in this grafting process that creates an exceptionally potent plant, perhaps combining traits from two different strains, or perhaps speeding the maturation process and increasing the alkaloids. From what I've been told, if you try and plant seeds from this grafted plant, it will only retain the partial genetics, and so it's necessary to graft a new tree for every true Maeng Da tree.
""

I have heard this similar take on Maeng Da from various old web posts. If I recall correctly, Joe from Re-leaf challenged Redditers on the Maeng Da issue and it turned into a poop storm of down votes and drama.

I will say carpo's is unique, very expensive but highly doubt anyone can get the OG Maeng Da unless some one grafted some trees to reproduce what they did in Thailand. Key word is Thailand, very illegal there and they don't mess around when it comes to punishing folks for breaking the law.

When I see maeng Da all I come to expect is good energy, mood lift and pain relief, The best of the vendors batch but not the legend known as Maeng Da.
I liken it to the generic beer that puts "premium on the label". Premium price? Can? packaging? Or is it just Premium marketing? :P

Kinda like what I think laurie was hinting on, you need to shop around a bit to find what is good for you. Shop around and buy small until you find something worth investing in. There are so many vendors out there, some offer the same kratom with a $100 markup. After awhile you'll lock in on one that suits your needs and then it is time to invest because next year that same tree might not have the favorable weather that it did last year.

Now this was some FUN reading!

Might I ask what strain you had prior to writing this fun history lesson?

The dust-up at (sub, I believe) Reddit with Joe is the stuff of legends now. Hahahaha

I was asked by an acquaintance to explain Maeng da just the other day. His question was sincere, but he didn’t like my simplistic reply, “it’s the best of the house blend”. He looked at me quizzically and did NOT believe that shitt and discussion ENDED.

Ok bye

(No joke. I’ll have a 3/4 tsp of what the author of this fun gem had just prior to writing this, lol)

LOL Laurie, I believe the author was ether the owner or affiliate of musynergetics. I just used that excerpt from his blog because it is the common theme about the topic. I do not know what he was taking, probably his Maeng Da but I had RVA's Wild Red/Sulawesi's Green as a 50/50 blend. I Think I will call it BWCA Maeng DA, thanks for the inspiration. ;) What were you taking? :P

OMG LOL
I was having some COB green vein with EZ KRATOM /DISTRIBUTION’s UE Red Bali with just a hint of African kanna.

I guess it gave me the giggles. Or life did. Or both.

I was laughing at the part YOU wrote. WITH you, of course!

Loved the whole thing. Good timing.
