I was slightly concerned but also excited. How would my body react? Instead of using Kratom I used Stem & Vein from Kratom Eye for 7 days to help my tolerance. Not knowing what to expect, I can tell you it has been underwhelming....but that's not a bad thing at all.

I didn't know for sure how the S&V would affect me. I've read that it can have some different alkaloids than Kratom powder. The truth is, it didn't do much for me....and yet it did.

What I'm saying is, I didn't really notice any drastic effects.....but I also didn't feel like crap. It certainly helped me with day to day anxiety, energy, and focus. But it was much more subtle than many of the Kratom strains I use. Pain relief? Not so sure. I didn’t really have any pain so it’s hard to say.

So I guess all in all, I have no complaints. Looking forward to kicking back in with Kratom tomorrow and seeing how these 7 days have helped my tolerance.

A few side notes:

Toss & Washers - I purchased the coarse version of S&V to save $. The goods news is, if you're a toss & washer this stuff goes down pretty easily when you add water to it. It all clumps together and slides right down basically by itself. A lot less mess hanging around than with Kratom powder.

Potentiators - I still used mine with the S&V. Not sure if I was supposed to or not....and because the effects are so subtle, I'm not sure if it helped any.

I haven't tried only S&V for a whole week. I have tried s&v only and s&v with a little bit of plain leaf for about 2-3 days. It seemed to help with tolerance. With the s&v with plain leaf, I would usually do a 3 or 4:1 ratio of S&V to plain leaf. Right now I have both red and white s&v from Precious Mitra. I ordered the green stem and vein from TKS. That stem and vein IMO is probably the best as far as moodlift and energy. That S&V goes extremely well with plain leaf.

I might have to try that next time. Honestly, I wasn't aware there were different colors of S&V. Mine from Kratom Eye didn't seem to specify.

Full disclosure - I wrote this post on Saturday and posted it Sunday. The weekend was a lot tougher for me than the first 5 days. During the week I was on the road for work and seemed to handle only using the S&V just fine. But by the time the weekend came around (and I got home/back to my regular life) my stress and anxiety was worse. In short, I could definitely tell the difference.

No withdrawal symptoms, though. I didn't feel like crap at all. I could just tell I didn't have the usual energy, mood lift, and motivation that I have when I am taking kratom. Basically, I felt like my old self again......and I don't like my old self.

Swear to God if they ban Kratom I'm going to go postal......

I have tried kratom eye's S&V. It was an okay stem and vein and it seemed to lower my tolerance a little even after 2 days.

Today I received the TKS green stem and vein. I actually tried 3 grams of the green s&v along with 0.5 grams of Releaf LLC white malay. This feels better than my previous kratom today which was white hulu/white malay.

Any difference in texture? Thanks for sharing, gmantheman. Do you also enjoy the alkaloid profile change? I do, which is odd because I almost never feel my regular PREMIUM powder and how it’s working. It’s so subtle, I just feel less awful some days. And I definitely feel it when I have NOT YET taken it.

I suspect most people would not necessarily notice s&v. Do you agree?

Do you have another purpose for s&v besides mine (alkaloid change)? I haven’t used it for weaning off kratom, but I plan to wean soon, so that’s made me curious.

Next time I get a cold, I’m going WITHOUT kratom during the recovery stage.

Just to see how I do. Practice practice practice
