I was wondering what life is like as a vendor. Is it that perfect work from home job? I know there has to be alot of risks involved. Especially getting started and the import process. Can it be successful part-time? Does it have to be full-time? It seems the only means of advertising would be through forums and word of mouth. Are you guys constantly selling or are you guys not selling more then you're actually selling?

I'm not saying I'd want to get into it for the simple fact I don't have the money. But it does seem nice to wake up in the morning and you're the boss.

From what I’ve been told, it’s a LOT OF WORK and your hours are all 24 no matter what the site says.

Delegating is the second hardest job. Trusting ANYONE to provide SERVICE THE WAY YOU WOULD ages everyone but COB.
He’s still a young stud. Joe wil tell you how it bothers him to have his trusted wife send an email on their behalf.
Vendors know A LOT and EACH IS SO UNIQUE,

The approved ones do it for the passion more than the money. Especially since you can lose your shirt overseas if you don’t study it meticulously.

I’ve seen vendors go UNDER a lot more than not.

Some include travel to the farms each year. Still at risk EVERY SHIPMENT.

That’s just what they’ve shared with me. I hope you get replies from them!

I understand the need to make money also. I hope it's enough to pay the bills, but the only means of advertising are 3 forums and Reddit. It just doesn't seem like enough advertising. Between 3 forums and Reddit there's probably 100+ vendors

Honestly we made 24,000.00 profit last year.
I have my returns to prove it.
Alot of money goes into it if it is being done right.

You didn't have yo be that honest lol. I wouldn't be able to survive off of that. If you had twice as much customers you could make twice as much, but then you'd have to work why you sleep too.

That’s what makes the APPROVED VENDOR LIST so valuable. That kind of dedication and persistence is NOT EASY, and must be appreciated! Most vendors start with DISABILITIES of their own to overcome while working THAT MUCH. That’s how their passion was ignited!

Lol.
It's you frogs.
If it wasn't for the support of my wife working in the medical field through all of this we wouldn't have done it.
The financial strain is alot when you start this type of venture .
Just the love for this plant keeps me going every day.
Anything I can ever do for any of my family here let me know .

I’ve been a vendor since 2014 and I can tell you that its not for the weak or the people who are just trying to make a quick buck. Kratom vending isn’t what it used to be meaning that the industry is held to a MUCH higher standard then before. Importing and packing in your kitchen is a thing of the past and can wind you up in some trouble.

GMP processes, randomized lab procedures, correct marketing are all very real these days. Vending is possible but its not a “side gig” you need to treat it like you would any another business and if that means getting a loan to get started then that is what you should do.

An easier route is working with an established business for copacking. I’m talking about supplement packing companies or food packing companies, not Kratom vendors (although there are a couple). The hard part is meeting the minimums.

Aside from GMP
Marketing is a real issue as the government agencies can go after you regarding how you present your product or how your customers omit it on to others.

Processing – Credit cards prohibit Kratom sales and so do the processors. Sure, you can pull off PayPal for a couple of weeks but eventually they will cancel your account and banned you for life. Then you will meet the seediest of people coming out of nowhere saying that they can get you processing – you will soon learn the hard way that 13% fees, reserves and shutdowns (no refunds) will quickly eat away your profits.

Competition – its real and you have to carve your spot but this can be done. Flipping KG’s on Facebook is not advised and is frowned upon in the industry – if you are serious about vending don’t do this, you are now part of the problem.

It’s a lot of work education your village that the product is safe and they should allow it in their town.
Late nights, dealing with BAD Product (the right way), learning compliance, and being a good educator is all part of being a vendor.

Fun Part
What I like is I’m a business owner, I have no one to blame but myself, meeting customers and generally enjoying what I do. I have really great employees! It’s a relatively new industry and with risk comes reward.

I'm just curious about something. From what I have read, Operation Choke Point has been negated, but many vendors still get penalized for using debit or gift cards. Why is this? I've also heard from other vendors, that they believe their competitors are finking them out, so to speak. Have you experienced this?
