In my Home State of Louisiana Just a couple of days ago, the FDA convinced a legislator in Louisiana to file a bill to ban kratom completely.

So Please can you Contact the 2 Louisiana Senators for me & tell them your Story or Donate to the AKA. Thanks Friends!:)

www.kennedy.senate.gov/public/email-me

www.cassidy.senate.gov/contact/

I have emailed them several times & told them my Story & Explained to them about Kratom.

Latest from the AKA:

Kratom Warriors:

Maybe it’s Scott Gottlieb’s parting gift to the FDA – or maybe a signal the FDA is going step up its attack on kratom – but they are using their unlimited budget to go after the AKA.

We won in Utah. We won in Georgia.

And we are winning in a dozen other states right now, and the FDA has panicked!

Just a couple of days ago, the FDA convinced a legislator in Louisiana to file a bill to ban kratom completely.

We see anti-kratom bans popping up in numerous towns and counties across America – wherever the FDA can spread their lies about kratom and hope the AKA cannot get there with our lobbying team.

That’s why I am making this urgent plea to you today.

I have been on the phones non-stop trying to drum up the money I need to cover the costs of our lobbying and science teams to fight the FDA’s lies.

When we have the funds to get the job done, we can win. And that argument convinced a donor to help with a matching commitment for every dollar you contribute – but there is a catch.

The donor has agreed to match every dollar up to that first $50,000 I can raise – that is incredible.

But even better – that donor will then DOUBLE-MATCH EVERY DOLLAR FROM $50,000 TO $100,000!

The donor will keep that offer open for five days.

That was music to my ears because our lobbying and science costs are mounting every day, and I do not want to have to pull the plug on all of those efforts.

Particularly now that the FDA is doing all they can to ban kratom.

I have asked before, but now I desperately need your help today.

If you haven’t made a donation in the past, please consider helping now. If you have donated - thank you for your generosity!

I know many of you have responded to my pleas for donations in the past, and I am very grateful for all you have done.

Today, the threat of the FDA stopping our momentum is real, and that is why I desperately need your help.

Please hurry, I need to collect these donations immediately.

My budget for lobbying and science is depleted, so I need every dollar I can collect to help us take full advantage of this very generous matching offer.

Please dig as deep as you can to make a donation today, and thank you again for your support.

Thank you,

David Herman

I am trying out Alternatives like Mitragyna Javanica, Mitragyna Hirsuta, Akuamma, Kava, CBD but they all pale in comparison to Speciosa.

Just goes to show you that Louisiana was wrong when they Banned some 40 + Herbs & Botanicals years ago. They had to Reverse it.

Leaders honored for changing Louisiana herb outlaw law
Dragnet to outlaw head-shop pot and 'shrooms pulled legit botanical supplements with it
Todd Runestad | Aug 28, 2015

The American Herbal Products Association released the name of nine companies that helped change an anti-drug law in Lousiana that inadvertently swept up as many as 30 legitimate herbs of commerce in a war-on-drugs law.

Suppliers, manufacturers and retailers were all part of the effort.

"AHPA and the herbal products industry greatly appreciates the generous support donated by these companies to help ensure consumer access to common herbal supplements that promote health and well being," said Tami Wahl, AHPA's Special Regulatory Counsel. "The financial contributions from these companies enabled AHPA to garner sufficient support from the Louisiana legislature to pass an amendment allowing these botanicals to be used in lawfully manufactured dietary supplements."

The companies were suppliers BI Nutraceuticals, Gaia Herbs, HG&H Pharmaceuticals, and PLT Health Solutions; manufacturers Health Concerns, Mountain Rose Herbs, NOW, and Traditional Medicinals; and retailer GNC.

Amendments advocated by AHPA, passed by the Louisiana legislature on June 9 and signed into state law on July 1, allows certain herbs that had been banned by the state to again be sold in dietary supplement products. The lobbying amended two pieces of legislation passed in 2005 and 2010 - Lousiana State Act No. 159 and House Bill 173 - that restricted the sale and possession of numerous herbs in the state.

The laws were designed to remove synthetic substances and herbs thought to have hallucinogenic properties from the marketplace and found in head shops, such as K2 and Spice. These were known on the street as being a sort of synthetic marijuana.

The laws also, inadvertently, covered some herbs commonly used in dietary supplements.

Among the 40 outlawed plants were Salvia divinorum, a psychoactive plant sometimes used to treat chronic drug addiction; damiana, a reported mood elevator, stimulant and aphrodisiac, and commonly used in "synthetic cannabis" formulations; and rosy periwinkle (Catharanthus raseus), which is used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine traditions.

In order to qualify for the new exemption, dietary supplements with herbs previously banned by Louisiana must be manufactured and marketed in compliance with the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic (FD&C) Act. Among other requirements, this federal law requires companies to register their supplement manufacturing facility with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), products to be manufactured in accordance with FDA current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements, and companies to report serious adverse events to the FDA.

"AHPA and the herbal products industry appreciate and support the efforts of the dedicated Louisiana lawmakers to protect their citizens from unsafe substances," said Tami Wahl, AHPA's Special Regulatory Council. "AHPA was able to garner support for this amendment by providing scientific evidence of the safety of these herbs and educating lawmakers about the effectiveness of the comprehensive federal regulations for dietary supplement products."

The Strange Laws of Louisiana:

Generally, laws are passed for the common welfare and safety of the people in a community. Every state has its own quirks, and Louisiana is no exception. In an effort to keep our readers informed, I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about a few Louisiana traffic laws that may be considered uncommon or unusual.

For example, it is against the law to smoke in a vehicle when children are present. Louisiana revised statute 32:300.4 states that it is “unlawful for the operator or any passenger in a motor vehicle to smoke cigarettes, pipes, or cigars in a motor vehicle, passenger van, or pick-up truck, when a child who is required to be restrained in a rear-facing child safety seat, a forward-facing child safety seat, a booster seat, or a motor vehicle’s safety belt as required in R.S. 32:295 is also present in such vehicle, regardless of whether windows of the motor vehicle are down.”

Most laws make obvious sense, and were instated to keep us safe. At times, however, some laws are completely nonsensical and beg the question, “do we really need a law for that?”

Although entertaining, some local laws make you wonder what was going on when the legislature felt compelled to pass them. Louisiana is home to some very silly, strange, odd and funny laws you may not know about.

The following laws must have been enacted to curb peoples’ inappropriate and rude behavior:
It is illegal to urinate in the water supply and an infraction may cost you up to 20 years in prison
It is illegal to gargle in public places.
Snoring is prohibited unless all bedroom windows are closed and securely locked.
You may not put a bed to the “ultimate test” before buying it.
In New Orleans, you may not fall onto a sidewalk and block it while being drunk.
Some strange Louisiana laws clearly originated to address very specific circumstances:
Ordering a pizza to be delivered to your friend without them knowing could land you a $500 fine.
You may not “dare” another person to go onto railroad tracks owned by someone else.
Mourners at a wake may not eat more than three sandwiches.
Taxi drivers are prohibited from making love in the front seat of their taxi during their shifts.

Sports fans in Louisiana should beware of these strange laws:
“Fake” wrestling matches are prohibited.
Our “paper bag head” New Orleans Saints fans may be surprised to find out that in Louisiana, it’s a crime for fans at a sporting event to insult or disparage the players!
Keep these laws in mind when attending Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans:
Mardi Gras beads may not be thrown from a third story window.
Snakes are not allowed within 200 yards of the Mardi Gras parade route.
Condoms may not be thrown from parade floats.
No one may throw objects at a parade float.
Television reporters may not throw doubloons, trinkets, or other throws to the crowd during a parade.

Some laws are clearly outdated and illegal today:
Goatees are illegal unless you first pay a special license fee for the privilege of wearing one in public.
It is illegal for a woman in New Orleans to drive a car unless her husband is waving a flag in front of it.

And some laws can only be found in New Orleans:
It is illegal to practice voodoo in the city limits.
You may not tie an alligator to a fire hydrant.
City commission members may not drink during a public meeting or else risk a $50 fine.
One may not host a game at Lafayette Square without a permit.
One-handed bicycle riding is prohibited. Every rider of a bicycle, tricycle or other vehicle propelled by hand or foot must keep at least one hand on the handlebars while riding.
You may not ride horseback or drive cattle on the neutral ground or fasten any animal to a tree in a public highway, neutral ground, park, public place, triangle or sidewalk in the city.
The town of Sulphur, near Lake Charles, Louisiana, has a number of strange laws of its own:
It is illegal to be an alcoholic.
Saying obscene things on the telephone is illegal.

In Jefferson Parish:
Minors may not go to businesses with coin-operated foosball machines unless accompanied by an adult.
No one may pour a drink out on the ground at any drive-in movie.
All garbage must be cooked before it can be fed to any hogs.
Around the state of Louisiana, there are plenty of strange laws on the books:
In Carencro, there is currently a ban on cowbells.
In Abbeville, it is illegal to use your roller skates on the sidewalk.
In Rayne, it is illegal to trick-or-treat for kids who are aged 14 and up.
While some of these laws may seem strange, it is always important to have a knowledgeable attorney who will fight for your rights. I was going to buy a kilo of the Green Riau from Insense but gave that money to AKA instead.
I have enough samples andother types for now that I need to go through and evaluate. That should take me through another month before I need to order again. None have had the clarity and headache removal results that the Riau does for me but a few get rid of the headaches and body pains but with the spaciness side effect. Maybe trying various doses with some of the potentiators with fix that.

God Bless Kratom. (Is that a bit over the top?) Told you I was a cuckoo head. :silly:

I hate to admit it but I did not write to those senators. I thought about it but I am paranoid that once they have my name the mighty powers of the FDA and big Pharma might find a way to mess with my job. Especially if they make it illegal here as they have already tried to do.
I am just over 3 years from retirement and need to be employed till then. I have a sick wife that I need to make sure that I can take care of.

Sorry Madmax :(
