I am leaving on Saturday for Italy and going on a two week cruise.

I am capping a good supply so it is more convenient to take.

I have checked and Italy has not banned Kratom so it is not illegal there.

Any advice from anyone else who has taken Kratom while travelling would be appreciated.

Maybe check with the cruise line, see if there are any issues. Quick search says it's illegal in Ireland, Denmark, Finland among others further away. If you're not stopping in any of those, should be good.

Would not stick it in some other herb bottle just in case someone gets weird and checks it. If they don't ask, don't tell. If they ask, tell them what it is. Maybe bookmark some info on it on your phone in case someone questions you and doesn't know what Kratom is.

Have fun :)

Yes we are not stopping in any country where it is illegal and we are cruising so everything stays on the ship when we go ashore.

It is going to be my "herbal tea" and I am taking a tea strainer with me too.

“Matcha” good planning :-)

I’m so excited for you!

EDIT: You must be going nuts trying to sort out which strains go where. I used to travel light. Now I have a 20 strain bag for travel so I can choose applicable strain as needed.

Plus CAPPING IT ALL!

Hope you have a good system for that. Plus you have to get your Mom well stocked and she must not decide to change her dosing while you’re gone.

Immediately upon return from a trip is also a stressor.

Sending calming strain vibes

It's an herb, you can make tea out of it. Someone might question capped stuff as being a tea. That's kind of what I was talking about. If they check something and it seems "off", they may make a production out of it.

It might be worthwhile in the future to buy some of the empty teabags on amazon and pre fill them before travelling.

I haven't tried them yet but was going order some to see how they are.

I've done some testing by removing the tea from regular tea bags and putting kratom in.
This works pretty good but I have noticed that it required about 30% more kratom to get a similar headache relieving effect.

I need to do more testing. :-?

EXCELLENT SUGGESTION! I’ve had the same results from a multitude of tea making tries over the years, but hadn’t tried that route yet. I made big batches and yielded about the same results. Tossing out soggy leaf bothered me, so I quit trying after about a month of experiments a few Summers ago.

Hopefully 9/11 hasn’t brought on such paranoia about dry leaves being in luggage as a large, scary SHAMPOO?!

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. :)

Shouldn't be issue, just thinking worst case. Personally if I capped it, I'd put it in an empty labeled Kratom ziplock and call it good. If they asked, I'd tell them "it's what it says on the bag".

My sarcasm is never appreciated at airport security, either. If there was some common sense I could relate to, we’d be fine. But there really is none. I traveled often with weed and a lighter. Other times they take one lighter but not the other (I finally do not smoke!). NO BOTTLED WATER but bring yer homemade sandwich for the ride, just no homemade jam for Mom.
