Vendors test for things like salmonella, heavy metals, etc, but does anyone ever test for potency profile?

Yes, usually they post alkaloid percentage online now, but it’s still new. Look for this to become standard procedure as the industry evolves.

Because of the competitive nature of the industry, many test results are AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST and you can email your vendor to inquire.

Hey there Gibson

I believe some vendors test portions of batches from some but not all strains in stock, they are very expensive to test for and can take up to a couple weeks for results. I would imagine the cost for us consumers to skyrocket if they were to test every strain/ batch they had, would be great to know the alkaloid profile so we could order based on that , it suffices for me to ask a vendor what traits of strains im inquiring about are possessing.

I believe Etha tests for alkaloid content. Which is great , and not cheap to buy ,

I would think that as time goes on the cost to run these tests will become more economically viable, but I could be way off !!! But that would be cool B-)

Laurie knows , I see she just posted a response , thx Laurie

The vendor that put that info in the description of the product would be the #1 vendor. I’ve never seen potency testing from any online vendor. I do realize it’s expensive though, and I may be missing it. ...maybe it’s those guys with the 200$ kilos..;)

I’ve read in a few forums and even some K websites that they will send product to their “testers”, but never have read any results from those testers. Yeah, people will chime in about this or that, but never identify as one. Plus reviews over a year old are fairly useless as well.

Do you have a list of approved vendors that post these sorts of results? Heck, even legal weed purveyors post potency...say THAT 5x fast! ;)

Gibson,

I sent you a private message about this. And all ILK vendors are participating in becoming cGMP compliant for the Self Regulation strategy to maintain safe legalization. The approved vendors are listed here www.ilovekratom.com/kratom-vendors

There are definitely some similarities in the two plant industries. Hopefully this industry will eventually “weed” out the bottom feeders that steal data and don’t test at all - just in it for a quick markup - so the remaining vendors can provide such information without having it used against them for sales online.

Progress is pretty rapid, actually. I still have sandwich bags with RED MD, etc written in black pen. No clue who they’re from! Ha! I’ve already sampled them and they were worth keeping AT THE TIME.

I definitely need to clean up my hoard and maybe have a KRATOM YARD SALE when I get organized. I need some better weather to shake everything off outside!
