Ive been using Kratom for pain for about 8 months and sometimes for depression aswell but lately I wake up with reletless leg syndrom and really hot cold feeling like. I normally take it around 7pm and this feeling starts around 2pm the next day. Should I dose in the mornings aswell to limit the witdrawal symtoms?

Yes & I HATE that feeling. If you've never taken it twice a day, I'm surprised it's happening to you. Maybe split your current dose and take twice a day. I take mine 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., using two different strains with one helping me get going and the other helps me get a good nights sleep.

I may be on a different dosing regimen than most folks .. but I take my last one between 7-9 pm, a relaxing red with a little bentuangie in the mix , helps me sleep great,

Maybe in the beginning of my love affair with the Kratom girl..( I think it’s a her ... but either way...) I remember having a adjustment period where I would start to get aclittle overheated , more so than my usual running hot metabolism... so yes.. once or twice I’ve felt the heat portion of what your describing.... never had restless legs though... we are all different ....

I tend to agree with Barbie, take a dose closer to evening time, however some folks like Laurie and others ha e a hard time sleeping when dosing later in the day ... other herbs may help with that ... if your not similar to Laurie in chemistry then a good solid sedating red ought to be helpful...

Please let us know how it goes ....(L)

Take care bro, we’ll all figure it out together :-bd

I get it in the morning sometimes. “Hot flashes”. It’s also sometimes sweating as I sleep. These are signs (for me) to cut back and introduce stem n vein (my form of initial cutting back). I’m only guessing that my body is excreting it through my pores as a way of processing excess “waste” (no offense to the leaf or anyone).

Your dose doesn’t sound like it means the same thing. AND I could he deducing this ALL WRONG because I’m also pre-menopausal and also I get it MORE with coffee, which sometimes does that ON ITS OWN.

I sympathize. If you’ve ever taken niacin, it’s kinda like that. A niacin flush is also a brief but uncomfortable rush.

Females and hot flashes are a norm, with or without kratom. LOL. But for a male to have them could be a sign of early diabetes. Kratom can help ease the restless leg thing because it relaxes your body, but does absolutely nothing for the blood sugar if it's an issue. I would try splitting your dose, but if it persists, those two things together would indicate you need a blood/urine test and possibly change some of your dietary habits. Not a big deal if you catch it early on.

The Thai villagers have used kratom traditionally to treat diabetes for centuries and there is one published research study that indicated kratom may help reduce insulin resistance.

What could be the problem might indeed be prediabetes. If TheHor is drinking alcohol or eating sweets before bed, it may be overpowering the kratom's ability to help.

Kratom doesn't fix all problems without getting some help from us, but I believe it gives us clues that something needs to change in our habits.

then again I know I get the 'jimmy legs' if im not hydrated. I prefer coffee, but that dehydrates too. up your water a bit, mix in a little electrolite stuff, or even a bit of real juice watered down works. I know it happened when I take the leaf or not if I don't have enough water. its the nudge before the Charlie horses oooo ooowwwww… but yeah watch your diet, if you eat at all, within 3 hours before bed is my general rule.

I think we’re stuck. The only thing left to do is the process of elimination and you may as well try kratom next to see if your condition improves. The symptoms DO sound similar to my detox experience quitting various medications and even coffee. Are you comfortable with doing that? It certainly will benefit your future use!

Thanks for sharing this with the group. Maybe others will have a brighter idea for you...
