How to Enhance Kratom Tea’s Flavor
Once you know how to make Kratom tea, discovering how to flavor Kratom tea to suit your preferences is the next step. Making Kratom tea taste good is harder for some people than others, so try out the following complementary flavors.

Lemon & Honey
The #1 way to enhance the flavor of Kratom tea is to add lemon and honey or sugar. Here’s how it helps:

Like other dark, earthy tea flavors, Kratom can benefit from both citrus and sweetness.
Citrus can cut through the grittiness of the earthy undertones.
Honey sweetens the whole concoction up.
The best way to add lemon to your Kratom tea is to add it to a large batch while you are making it. In addition to improving the flavor of the final Kratom tea, citric acid found in lemon also helps to preserve the alkaline content of the tea.

To flavor Kratom tea, honey can also be added while you are preparing a large batch of tea from powder or leaves. Alternatively, you can add honey when you are about to drink the tea. The sweetness will cut through some of the less yummy components of Kratom either way.

Spoon in a tablespoon of honey to start with, but don’t be surprised if you need to add a second!

If you’re not a fan of lemon, you can try using other citrus replacements instead. Kratom tea with lemon juice and kratom tea with orange juice are equally popular! There are even those who prefer it most with grapefruit juice.

Vanilla Almond Milk
Many Kratom lovers have found that adding vanilla almond milk, preferably the sweetened variety, to their cup of tea makes it taste much better. This is especially good if you like to drink hot Kratom tea because it will help the tea taste a lot like a traditional black tea.

The vanilla in the almond milk adds a bit of sweetness and a heavy note of vanilla which can override and eliminate some of the less tasty flavors that some palates pick up from Kratom tea. You can even add additional vanilla if you want to superboost that flavor depending on the initial Kratom tea strength.

The almond milk itself is a great complementary product to Kratom tea. Almond milk is an alkaline beverage, so it fits well with the chemicals in the leaves. Kratom tea with milk is smoother and silkier which will help it go down – and maybe even get you excited to drink it again the next time!

Hot Cocoa Mix
For some people, almond milk and citrus-boosting solutions to the enhance taste of Kratom aren’t the right fit. Those that prefer sweet, dessert-type drinks may instead be able to enjoy Kratom tea more if they mix it with hot cocoa!

That’s right – adding a single tablespoon scoop of hot cocoa mix to a hot cup of Kratom tea is a fantastic way to make it even more flavorful.

Cocoa flavor, in many ways, has a lot of earthy notes to it. Many do not realize this because the sweet chocolatey flavor overpowers those undertones, but chocolate goes great with earthy tastes.

If you find the natural taste of Kratom nearly impossible to stomach, cocoa mix is the best way to make it blend that complements the natural Kratom flavors.

Mix With Regular Tea Bags
Blending prepared Kratom tea with regular tea is a great way to make the natural, earthy taste better suit your palate.

All you need to do is grab one or two regular tea bags, and brew them up in hot Kratom tea. Alternatively, you can brew both separately and then combine them in any ratio. Test out different ratios to find what works best for you.

These are the regular tea bag flavors that have a good taste & do well to Mask the Taste of Kratom:
Citrus blends
Vanilla-flavored teas
Fruity teas
Sweet teas

If you aren’t sure what to try first, just try your favorite tea! Use double the amount of tea that you normally would as you want to make sure you have enough flavor to balance out the strength of Kratom.

Flavored Syrups
This might be the fastest and easiest way to change up the taste of Kratom. If you are getting tired of the basic earthy flavor of Kratom, try adding flavored syrup to the tea instead. While these syrups are typically used for baking desserts or flavoring coffees, they can also be used to flavor tea.

These flavored syrups mesh particularly well with the natural Kratom taste:
Raspberry tea

Why Not Try Another Strain?
Have you tried many of these complementary pairings and still not found your perfect Kratom product? If you feel like you’ll never find a way to make Kratom tea work for you, there’s a chance that the product you are currently trying isn’t the right one for you. Ultimately, the best Kratom tea recipe is the one that tastes best to you.
