In a pinch a couple of eggs (the yolks) will give you a lecithin/choline boost.

If anything I undersold the connection between choline and some nootropics. There's a whole adjunct industry in selling forms of choline to fans of nootropics.

peaknootropics.com/types-of-acetylcholin...ts%2F&v=7516fd43adaa

Racetams (Piracetam, Aniracetam, etc…)

Racetams do not act as precursors to acetylcholine but instead stimulate the acetylcholine receptors. This triggers more acetylcholine to be needed by the body. This is the actual nootropic action of racetams. It is suggested that not having enough acetylcholine in the brain while taking racetams will limit their effectiveness and possibly even cause the opposite action to take place.

Many people complain of headaches when using nootropics, especially racetams and cholinergics. There have been cases of other side effects as well like nausea and restlessness, but headaches seem to be the most frequently occurring side effect. It can be really irritating for the user if he/she gets headaches while trying to improve mental functioning.

Racetams like piracetam and aniracetam are especially known for causing unwanted headaches and even slight to severe migraines. Still, nootropics are generally safe to use and the chances of getting a headache depends on the dosage and user. There exist rational explanations for such side effects. Headaches caused by nootropics are not a cause for concern in most cases and also may be avoided by making use of some remedies.

Some individuals find that Choline helps to prevent Modafinil headaches, especially those that occur the day after using this drug. While this treatment is not 100% effective, there are a number of users who report that taking a Choline supplement like Alpha GPC will eliminate most headache symptoms.

Some of the most common cures can involve simply remembering to take care of your basic bodily needs. Many users report that Modafinil use keeps them hyper-focused at the tasks at hand, often being so engrossed in working that they lose track of time, with hours passing without realizing it.

Sitting inactive, being fully mentally engrossed in a task can cause a physical toll on your body. Most people as well have poor posture, and sitting hunched over a desk or computer for hours at a time can lead to neck and back strain, which may further lead to headaches.

Remembering to take short breaks can sometimes help to reduce or eliminate Modafinil headaches. Some users have suggested even setting alarms periodically throughout the day to remind yourself to stop your work, get up, stretch, or take a short walk. Taking a short mental break as well to just clear the mind or meditate is recommended as well.

Funny enough, the ad on the page I'm linking to has the brand of Adrafinil I just ordered, though in a smaller size. Maybe that's due to tracking? Spooky if so.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE GIFT OF KNOWLEDGE regarding the headache conundrum. Very disappointing, indeed, when I was trying to avert chronic fatigue! It was not worth it. EGGS are my food of choice on my Atkins/keto eating plan! That’s really got me excited to do some digging in that box when I complete my dog sitting assignments - if I even touch that box wrong, I will be spending the day sorting supplements and I haven’t the time yet!

COOL COOL COOL THANK YOU!!

Hey Laurie, my Adrafinil arrived today here in NY from New Mexico (ordered on Monday so the UPS ROCKS), and after about an hour and a half it felt like my "third eye" was starting to sprout, lol. Just kidding, but I had taken lecithin a few hours before, and then hurried to take more right after I started feeling like that guy from Scanners (Michael Ironside), and the bit of pressure went away soon after.

Of course the lecithin might not have been a factor, but still. I took a light teaspoon before, and then after, for what that's worth.

Interesting..! I’m not near enough to my supplement ZAPS box today, but mine is capped and I got headaches even when I emptied half of a capsule. But. It got my butt moving while in the grips of opiate detox sans kratom!

I also had “bulging eyeballs” after a couple of days and it also seriously inhibits sleep/rest, which is exactly why the military used/uses it.

Can you SLEEP tonight? We will see..

No headache? Yay!

EDIT: incidentally, I didn’t partake in Hirsuta Only Thursday (HOT), so am now starting a 1 1/2 tsp stem n vein with 1/2 tsp Hirsuta as needed today and I plan to go all day tomorrow.

Got another pet sitting interview this next week-kitties!!!

Thanks for all the good juju from everyone here <hugs>

A quick comment on fatigue. A couple years ago I went through a phase where I could barely make it through a day without napping. On my regular checkup, my doctor said that I was showing signs of reacting to an allergen. That was what causing the fatigue.

I've had my share of typical resperatory responses to allergens. Itchy eyes, runny nose, etc. I started taking claritin and it was a miracle. My daily fatigue was gone.

The point is, allergeries can manifest in different ways. Since you have a lot of allergies, you might consider getting tested to see if there is a seasonal allergen that you might be reacting to.

It's a shame that GrapeFruit Juice doesn't work for you. I find that it does a tremendous job of covering the taste.
