I ordered some extracts for the first time. I have been reading on here, and google results but I am getting mixed info. If theres already a thread on this please point me in the right direction as I havent been able to find the info I am looking for. I know its all subjective but I would like some input.

Are powdered extracts better stand alone, or is it better all around to add some onto a regular dose of normal kratom? Would one produce a better result than the other? I understand it will raise my tolerance quite a bit but I will not be using extracts regularly so I was just wanting to get the best experience for the extracts that I am getting.

Also is there any way to send a private message?

I am also interested in this topic. I have just purchased extract in Canada. It is 30:1

So here is the math.

A 2gm dose would be about 70mg (70 X30 = 2100 mg or 2.1 gms)

I plan to save it for those days when NOTHING works (thankfully they come less often these days). I have tried adding it (about 30mg) to my regular dose but it did not seem to make a difference. SO do I use the equivalent dose to my powdered stuff (about 200mg) OR is it better to just add some to my powdered dose to make it stronger?

ALSO does it act the same way as powdered ie constipation? Would I get the same effect on bowels with 200mg of extract as with 6gms of powder?

So far not impressed with extracts.

I have tried them on their own AND added to my regular dose BUT did not get any extra pain relief either way.

The only thing I notice is that using the extract gives me a very, very dry mouth. So far that is about the only effect I notice.

I do not think the math is exact either. 100 gms of a 30:1 should be equivalent to 3 gms of powder BUT I do not notice anything but the dry mouth. **sigh**

....and the experiment goes on!

I can’t comment yet because I’m on Chantix for quitting vaping and I think it works very similarly to kratom, fills my nicotrinic receptors and I think those are similar to how kratom helps. Now I can’t feel much of ANY substance. It’s a great antidepressant except for the NASTY AS$ side effects. Trying to get the dose “just right” is a lot like trying out kratom for a sweet spot! It’s been a good 3-4 weeks now. Hoping to wean off Chantix starting today. Too bad it’s such an awful drug - it helps my brain wiring issues! Until it creates new issues..lol

I do not notice any significant difference with extracts, much to my disappointment (after spending extra money) for powdered or liquid concentrates. I discovered that nothing special happens in any mentionable aspect using kratom extracts. Just a lot of hype in my opinion that that extracts are more "powerful." It seems odd that the higher potency kratom doesn't do a darn thing for me. What is the logic for this I wonder? So, I discovered just using plain red, green or white cheap power I buy online from Indonesia is all that is needed to take the edge off.

So nice to know I am not alone.

Further exploration has shown that 80 mg of a 50:1 extract WITH my regular dose of powdered Kratom, DOES give me a bit more pain relief than the powdered leaf alone.

However, at 50:1 that should be equivalent to about 4 grams of leaf powder. I am pretty sure I could get that same level of extra pain relief if I just raised my dose by 500 mgs (.5 gm) - 1gm. So it seems a bit wasteful to me.

Nothing special in extracts for me!

BTW - my one experience purchasing directly from Indonesia did not get me good product, so I am sticking with my trusted Canadian vendors. Most of the powder in my "no fly" box came from that purchase.

This is how I got it to be effective. No more then 2 grams of extract a day. I refuse to go over that.

In the morning I take 8 grams. If drop my dose to 6 and take a gram of extract. On my first break I usually take 3 more grams. I'll take 1 gram of extract and just one gram of regular. Then my evening dose I take another 3 grams, this time I'll only take a gram and a half.
