I am afraid to go to the hospital because they look at pain patients as drug addicts. And I know my wife doesn't want to deal with this.

have not slept in 2 days and I don't know when I will fall a sleep.

I need stronger meds for pain and for breakthrough pain but my doc can't see me till another week. So what if I don't sleep between now and then. I could have a car accident and I have to work to support my family or I may as well be dead.

Yeah I understand, but you have a diagnosed medical condition and have an appointment set up with your doctor. So maybe if you explain that, they won't treat you like an addict or a med seeker. I know you're wife probably has difficulty because she feels helpless. I definitely wouldn't drive if you're not feeling well enough.

Thanks,

I decided if I ever have to go to the ER, I will just be honest and mention about my doctor, condition, etc and go from there. What more can one do?

That said, I am feeling really good today.

I am going to post below most of what I added to a few other posts that are related.

Using too much, similar strains, and same vendors caused me tolerance and fatigue taking so much for relief. Problem is, if I find one strain or strains are not working well, the pain can be so bad, I keep taking it often and a lot of it to get relief! One thing I am doing now is keeping a daily log or journal of sleep, mood, pain level, energy level, strain, dose and vendor. This will help me keep watch. I know some strains can last a long time regarding effects - but is that true of the pain relief??? And maybe this ties into my thoughts below. Recently I would take one of my usual red strains for example, and lucky to get an hour or two of relief, so I would take more and more.

I felt horrible the last few days and I was pouring through kratom like crazy! Between yesterday noon till first thing this morning, I went through 28 grams of Muang Da and I have gone through more at times. I have also a few times gone through opiate med withdrawal and really messed with my sleep and pain, regardless of kratom at times.

When I pick the right strain for my body at the time, it feels more like a total lift of depression, raising of mood and a ton of energy and focus, and suppression of pain. Because I have sever chronic pain, I decided recently to experiment. I found that the best effects come from as close to an empty stomach as possible and only straight powder with a liquid, I use iced tea or juice. I find alternating strains as much as possible and vendors to be a key point.

One thing I am finding is that regardless of what you read about the effects of various strains, you ill know better once you test yourself. For example, I am finding I personally am getting better pain relief from green and white vein kratom which my body seems to respond to more like opiates - mood lift, focus, energy and pain relief. What is great about this, I can take less than I would of any other strains for pain relief. It seems as soon as the energy, mood lift, feel good sets in, the pain subsides. I find opiates act like a stimulant in a lot of people, especially me and find the kratom that provides a similar effect, gives me pain relief.

I have taken some opiates for pain like morphine, which made me too tired, and not as much pain relief as something like tapendatol. Everyone is different.

Some of the best I have felt in a long time and will great pain relief is from Kratom Therapy's Superior Malaysion.

Also, I know I am not the only one to get good pain relief from whites and greens. I have read others stating the same for their chemistry. I also read some sites discussing that for some white and green vein kratom can have very long lasting pain relief, similar to that of reds.

They mention this very thing about white and green strains on some kratom sites and for me, I am finding white and greens help my pain. This was a big switch for me in that 24 hours I believe.

The thing that sucks, I just bought about $100 worth of a lot of red veined strains, but I also bought some greens and strains I have never tried.

I am going to make sure to alternate vendors too.

This is helpful information! I only use white and sometimes green strains because reds make me too sleepy. All of them help with pain relief for me, but my pain isn't nearly as severe as yours. I know what you're saying about amount you're using. I average about 15g per day. I had to order from another website today with overnight shipping because I'm sure my order from PA botanicals was not shipped yet even if they told me it was. I have been a loyal customer to them for 8 months. It truly is ridiculous to be that backed up. They need to hire more staff if they can't keep up with the orders. I won't be ordering with them again. We'll see if the other vendor comes through. They answered my e-mail right away and the order tracking is showing it's on it's way. Sometimes I get so sick of this Sh&t.

Ha, I know I have easily taken 15g at once.

Don't tell me that about PA Botanicals because I ordered last night and they said 2-3 days. I live about a 5 or 6 hour drive from PA Botanicals!
Any time I order from Greenleaf Kratom, I always get it within 1-2 days. 30-60 minutes from me.
In an emergency, a local smoke shop carries 30 gram bags of Kratom Therapy.

Does anyone have recommendations on dose, strains, dosing frequency, etc? For example, I take 5g of a green strain from a vendor at noon and have energy, lifted mood and full pain relief for a solid 3-4 hours. I try to stay ahead of the pain. At 4 o'clock, do I then take another dose of 5 at this time, another strain/vendor or wait longer? Some strains can last 8 hours, does that include pain relief and most strains last that long? I read it can really vary per strain, freshness and person.
I get into trouble when I don't notice pain relief, and if tolerance is up, I take more and more because pain is hardly tolerable.
I had to remind myslef that greens and whites offered me great relief when I started kratom and it worked today. Regarding pain, I personally have to stop thinking in terms of reds. I do notice that the more energy and mood lift I get, the better pain relief. This is extremely similar to how opiates work with me.

Sometimes I think best to alternate between opiate meds and kratom. Meds are cheaper and easier for me, $25 a month and a pill can last 6-8 hours or longer if extended release.

This Green Malaysian is some of the best I have felt, including pain relief in a long time. Taken at noon today, 5 g.
So, do I take more now at 4 since I feel pain coming back? A different variety? Hmmm

But yes, I am reading on a few sites that white and green strains "can" have as much pain relief as reds.

I still am not sure why it stopped working for me a while back. I know at the time I was taking a ton so maybe I maxed my tolerance and it took time of taking less and mixing strains to get it down?
I soon switched to opiates and when switching back to kratom, tolerance came down.

Weird yesterday I took Kratom Therapy Muang Da and had little relief as the day went on. I also had like no sleep which makes pain worse. Today the same vendor's malaysian is a miracle for me.

The key is to log every detail!

Lol Sorry! They are about 4-5 hours away from me too! I guess you live in Jersey? I live in SE PA, about an hour's drive to Philly. I ordered overnight express from them and didn't get it till 2 days later because my post office is not the primary one serving the area. I tried Kwik Kratom today, but didn't realize they are in FL! lol Google said they're in Maryland. I'm such a mess :P

Idk how many grams are in a teaspoon, but I feel extremely achy in the morning, so I take a teaspoon around 7 ish. I take another one at say 10 to give me a boost of energy because the first one just gets rid of the pain. I would say I take a teaspoon every 3 hours...7,10,1,4 and then at 8-9pm. Some days I just take one at 7 and another at lunch time, with the next two at 4 and 8pm. I take it either by toss and wash, which is still so gross, or if I'm motivated enough, I mix it with OJ. I have found lotus enhanced red thai, white vein indo, white MD, and Kurt's blend from PA Bot to be my rotation. I also like Green Malay to switch it up maybe once a month.

Hi Jennifer, I live in southeastern PA, near Philly, Wayne PA. About 20 to 30 minutes from Philly.

I get my PA Botanicals in about two days.

Right now in my meds and supplements cabinet,I have the red borneo, bali, cambodian, vietnam, Ultra maeng da, green malaysian, and red sumatra.

I find I need a minimum of 4 to 5 grams so I sort of see that as my threshold. I tsp is about 2.3 - 2.8 grams or so and it varies based on different variables and strain.

Best results on an empty stomach which I rarely have so that is a struggle.

I am trying to get my family to understand that incorporating kratom into my life for pain relief and mood, energy is as much about feel and art ad it is a science. My wife is more rigid in how she thinks and that is harder for her to accept. She has trouble understanding how one could take a medication or kratom for breakthrough pain and even asked my doctor. She may finally be understanding that some of these things are on an as needed basis, not always the same time and dose each day.

I am much more easy going, laid back and flowing when it comes to life. A lot of att, not just science with these things.

Lately pain has been under control and plan to hit the gym tomorrow since I am off work and get back into great shape again.

Well I do know I've been taking red veins for pain as I feel they work a little better sure you don't get the energy but for me feeling pain free and normal gives me energy I don't know what kinda pain your experiencing but I too have a very hard time sleeping at night and valerian root and melatonin seem to have brought my sleep schedule back also not to get off topic but gabapentin does take nerve pain away, kratom dam well saved my life for me pills cost a fortune I'd rather buy kratom from the head shop here in wb at 30 a gram then buy 100 worth pills and eat them in one day, it does get better.
