Is it ok to mix strains of kratom? I know you can buy the kratom powder where they have different colors of the same strain mixed, like mixed Maeng Da,mixed Malay, etc? For example, I bought 30 capsules online just to try it out to see if I even liked kratom before investing in a larger quantity of powder. The 30 capsules consisted of 10 Green Maeng Da,10 Mixed Malay, and 10 Red Bali. I took 3 capsules of the Green Maeng Da the first day and then 3 capsules of the Red Bali the next day just as a feeling out process before I decided I should try 4 capsules of the Mixed Malay. So if I continue to take 4 capsules each time that will leave me with 2 Mixed Malay,3 Red Bali, and 2 Green Maeng Da. Would it be ok for me to take say,2 Red Bali and 2 Green Maeng Da as one dose, and the next day take the remaining 2 Red Bali and 2 Mixed Malay? Or 3 Red Bali/1 of either of the other strains? Even if it were safe, would it be a waste of kratom, would the effects of one strain cancel out the effects of another strain, or would they compliment each other? My gut feeling says it's safe to combine strains,I guess I'm just looking for confirmation as I'm very new to this and I'd rather be safe than sorry. Thank you guys in advance for dealing with a noob! :-bd

Mixing strains is perfectly acceptable and gives countless variations and combinations of alkaloids.

Think about it like blending one or two types of coffee to make your own special brew.

I think this is one of those situations where a scale comes in really handy in making your own combinations.

I like to mix a bit of white in with my morning reds. It helps to power me through yoga practice.

You can mix 12 varieties together if you really want to.
But yes you can mix red, white, green, yellow if you want to. But just beware, say you only have 3 types of Kratom on hand, and you make a mix of all of them, and only take that mix for an extended period of time, from my experience, your body will get used to all those strains. So it’s always good to have a few strains to switch to, once your body gets used to your mix you created. Hope that makes sense.

I am with cybin_spores on this one.. Mixing all three strains together would sort of cancel out the effects of each one. BUT you can do whatever you want to...but do so responsibly, keep notes and don't keep escalating the dose to keep increasing the effects you want.

Awesome, I assumed it would be ok to mix,I'm just down to the last few capsules and I was going with 3 new strains for my next order, and no point in just taking one or 2 capsules,so I went ahead and took 2 Malay and 2 Maeng Da and I gotta honestly say I loved the relaxed feeling yet I wasn't like drowsy or wanting to sleep, more like a very caln, focused energy is about the best I can sum it up. A very subdued, calm feeling yet I still felt like getting things accomplished. Definitely got the results I was hoping for!
