I decided to try Kratom after trying pot (I had medical card), it was useless. Came across Kratom and it has been life saving. I use Red Bali powder, 4 grams. I mix it with vanilla almond milk to mask flavor. Pain totally gone for about 6 hours. I’m on week 4 and never took another Percocet since first try with Kratom. No withdrawal no side affects. Hope you find your sweet spot.

I am on my fourth go round trying cannabis for pain control...this time CBD oil. results are VERY disappointing. I have smoked it, vapourized it, ingested it, rubbed it in, AND still get no results unless I take massive amounts - and then my IQ goes down by about 50 points.

Kratom is far superior in my view for pain relief, as it does not cause any cognitive changes at all for me. BUT it is imperative to manage doses to control for tolerance becasue if you take it regularly tolerance WILL occur.

My story is much the same as yours BStrehl...cold turkey off percocet using Kratom with no withdrawals whatsoever.

Welcome to the forum.

Same story, CBD, smoking, vaping, etc. My fear is building up a tolerance for Kratom. I take 4 grams once a day, everyday. Is my fear warranted. It’s my only pain control.

Yes you can develop tolerance so you must manage for that by keeping your dose constant and well measured. It is handy to have other things that you can use if your usual Kratom dose is not managing things on a bad day.

I use Akuamma seeds (picralima) for that. Do a search on the forum for "Akuamma" and see what comes up. Fortunately things haave been good lately and my daily Kratom dose is going DOWN!

Homeopathy is also a possibility for pain control. I am just learning more about that too. A search on the forum for "homeopathy" will give you some good reading material.

I take 6 gms 4 times a day so if you get good pain control with a once daily Kratom dose you are doing really well!

My 6 gms barely lasts 4 hours.

Anyone starting out might find this little chart helpful. These are numbers I compiled from various vendors websites and my own experience. There are some blanks in there too if you want to do your own ratings.

I keep it in my Kratom drawer so I know what strains/varieties have worked well for me in the past.

When trying out a new strain I just pencil it in to keep the chart current.

Can't wait. I got very sick today after the 3 g of super kali and ended up barfing several times. I got nothing done today because I felt so punky. It scared me enough to never start a new strain at more than 1.5g. Guess I'm a weenie.

Thank you. I am printing them out. I am also keeping my own logs to keep track of what works for me and what it does.

Oh shoot, I couldn't print it. I would have to print the whole page and the sample printed way to small to read. I can just copy it by hand when I get a chance.

YES...many of us have been there! Unfortunately for some of us that will happen. I had the same thing happen when I started when I grabbed a white out of the cupboard (by mistake) and gave myself the SAME dose I had been using for Reds.

I eneded up pretty much just how you described! That is what happens when you dump a bunch of stimulating alkaloids into a body system that is not used to it!

Regarding Kratom attachment .

I think you should be able to download the chart to your own computer if you click on the attachment.

I should really try to get that chart posted somewhere on this site...hmmmmm?
