Happy Thanksgiving from the I Love Kratom Community!

We wanted to post all the Black Friday Deals that our approved vendors have made us aware of. We have heard that there are a few vendors that are having a tough time staying stocked up. We are confident one of these vendors would love to help you until your vendor is all stocked up again!

Right. From now on I will try any new strain or vein at a very low dose of .5 to 1g unless it's a white. I will probably start that at .5g only. Thanks for the encouragement.;);)

The nice thing about having a scale is that you can adjust upwards or downwards by very small amounts.

It allows for more precision in managing the dose for tolerance I think.

No, I had been titrating up on Green Malay. I had gotten to 2.5 g and was ready for 3g. So, I just assumed 3g of the Super Green Kali would be okay. I didn't know the super would be so strong. I know it says "super" but I never know exactly what the names mean.
I'm curious as to why you are trying to titrate up? Are you using Kratom for pain management and trying to find your sweet spot, or is it something else.[/quote]

I am starting low and titrating up because I really don't feel any energy or pain relief yet. So I figured I haven't gotten to the dose that will actually help. It guess that is the sweet spot you are talking about.

You will not get energy and pain relief from the same strain (highly unlikely)

You have to pick one and find the strain and does that works for that. Then you can start combining the different strains but you have to know what works first.

Some of the reds will give an energy lift at first and then a smooth sedating finish as THOSE alkloids kick in.

Red Bali, Red Maeng Da and Red Vein Thai would be good choices for that.

Wow, probably an experience thing. The green Malay (and I think others) are advertised that way as giving energy and pain relief.

Right! That's why I'm here. I am finding out that I can't really trust a description completely by a company or even a person because from what I'm learning, Kratom affects everyone differently. Because of all the experimenting and the difficulty of finding the right dose, I really don't feel comfortable telling anyone about this except my husband. None of my friends would be up for the challenge.

Many of us have that issue as well.
You can’t/shouldn’t try to change orhers’minds.
It’s whether YOU are up to the challenge. I have almost nobody but my closest friends to share it with. They believe in pills, end of story.
Too bad, but rock n roll was also harmful not long ago! There’s hope! For now, just decide what is best for you, The leaf is not a predictable road, but it’s often the more comfortable ride for the long journey.

You’re wise to be clear in your direction. Wishing you a speedy epiphany! :)

While it may look complicated.... the Truth is very simple.

Thank you, Laurie. Since we're older, myself, my husband and our friends all have our health challenges. I feel for my friends, but as long as they can get that quick fix pain pill from their doctor, I know they won't listen. And that's fine. But because of all the new rules and regs about opiates/opioids, there may come a day when they need help. I will then be able to help. My husband wouldn't be able to do this on his own, but is willing to take the Kratom. So, I make him capsules. He tried drinking it and about gagged and wasn't interested in trying that again. LOL! He is happy with a 2.0 to 2.5g dose for most of the day and more later if he needs to be active. He didn't know if it was helping or not, so I told him to stop for a day as I learned you may be able to tell then difference when you do that. He said he definitely noticed a difference and is back on!

My mother, 97yrs old, takes ~1.9 gms of kratom 4 times per day.

I make up the capules for her too. She takes 5 of them. she would not want to be without it either!
