I just got an order from Li Herbals. They are extremely cheap, but I've read good reviews. I ordered the "matcha Tea" sample pack. When I got it today it was Red borneo, white borneo, green kali and yellow borneo. It only mentioned the colors when I ordered it so it was like a surprise. Anyway, the name of the strain on each packet is followed by an MD. Do you know if that means maeng da? That's a separate strain, right? I have an email into them asking if it is maeng da and if so, what percentage is the MD. Their website is so secretive that you have to type in speciosa or you can't find the kratom.

So that sounds good but can you tell me what the M and the D actually stand for?

Thanks.

Thanks, but that's not what I meant. I am wondering why the MD after the words Red Borneo. Like I mentioned before, would that mean it's a mix of MD and Borneo or what? I still haven't heard from the company.

No no no. It means Red Borneo “pimp grade” or “high quality” as Frogs said. Maeng Da is NOT a strain on its own.

Hope that helps. Hopefully you’ll be getting benefits by Sunday by dosing ONE STRAIN more frequently in same small doses.

Don’t overthink it. I’ve done that. If you must, do a SEARCH under maeng da where it’s discussed ad nauseum about the MADE UP WORDS in the kratom vocabulary. Made up strains DO EXIST.
It’s been done. Haha!

Your strains are “high quality” and you should use that “trick” on other websites going forward. For the less expensive, unvetted middleman dealers. This is perfectly legitimate and not a sign of lack of quality in every case.

Like you said, “it’s a surprise” when you order from the tiny shops. I’m sure they have a good reply to your email coming. Maybe share what THEY think maeng da MEANS? If it wouldn’t embarrass anyone.

Yup and usually if it's just labeled as green, Red, white MD by itself it's usually just indo.

I know the interpretation. I've read it. But it always seems to be mentioned as a favorite strain such as red, green or white maeng da without any other words like Borneo or Ketapang, etc. I've seen it advertised and sold as maeng da in different veins along with other separate products such as green hulu and green malay. It's shown just as another choice. Now I am really confused.

As I told Laurie, now I am really confused. Because whenever I see it advertised, it's a choice along with other choices like green Hulu, red ketapang, etc. I always thought it was a separate strain even with the weird interpretation. How could I have gotten that so wrong? So are you saying if a product doesn't say maeng da or MD, it's not as good quality? Yikes. I need to research this some more. I thought I had it down pat but I don't.

For one thing, I haven’t got it down pat, but I’m slow to learn.

You’re going the wrong way with this. It’s a plant. It’s not a pill. It’s the same, but not. There are like 3 varieties, basically. Growing conditions and location change EVERYTHING but they are still those three plants.

Perhaps this will help. Remember when weed was leafy and you get it by the ounce from drug dealers?

NOW go to a dispensary and try to buy an ounce of weed.

WHAT KIND, WHAT FLAVOR, WHAT HYBRID (mixing strains happens in kratom like it does with weed plants, thereby becoming ANOTHER STRAIN), what strength, blah blah blah...?

It’s still WEED. But go easy. It’s much stronger than the stuff we got from dealers!

Kratom is also a plant product and subject to any number of variables that CAN or ARE NOT used as a NEW NAME for a strain.

THEN THERE ARE BLEND NAMES.

Joe at Re-Leaf can give you your OWN STRAIN NAME.

Go back to THREE PLANTS.

Read the BLOGS section on the botanical aspects from EVERY ANGLE.

Then get back to experimenting IF YOU WISH.

I still think an espresso machine might be a better choice for you. You don’t have enough WRONG WITH YOUR HEALTH to need to go through all of this aggravation to “enjoy” vacuuming. It still “sucks”.
