Hello All,
I was just wondering if anyone has some suggestions on which strain of Kratom is best for a mood uplift and to give me, dare I say it, a "Euphoric" feeling?
I found a wonderful Thai Red that I'm taking in the mornings for my pain condition, but I also suffer from depression and would really like to see if I could find a strain that gives not only a mood-boost, but that nice, warm, fuzzy "all is well with the world" feeling.
I found a great White Horned Vein from Kratora that worked wonderfully on me for a few hours, but unfortunately it caused some pain and urgency to an existing bladder condition I have (sorry for TMI  )

I've tried a Green Malaysian strain which I've heard people rave about, but I didn't feel much from it.
I've also tried White Maeng Da...it felt more like a cup of coffee and an energy rush than a mood enhancer. I was border line jittery on it.
I'm still going to try different vendors who have the White Horned Vein, since it had such a wonderful mood boosting element to it for me on my first try...maybe it was just that particular vendor's strain that caused the bladder irritation.
But does anyone have any suggestions for a Kratom strain that will help with depression? Which Vendor would you suggest? (there are so many!)
I know everyone's body chemistry is different, and what works for one person may not work for another.
But any advice would be most appreciated.
I have received so much support and education about Kratom from the people on this forum. You guys are the best!
Thank you,

Amy

I have the same need and I do appreciate the green Malay’s or green maeng da with hints of reds and whites for pain/energy.

I’m still seeking further help for my depression symptoms. Thanks for posing the question so maybe we will both get some alternative suggestions.

Hang in there

Thank you Laurie,
I suppose it's just a matter of experimenting with the different strains/vendors.
Fortunately, there are plenty of variations out there to try from.

For a Mood Lifting Feeling I would Recommend these Strains:

White Thai
Green MD
Green Malay
White Malay
Green Jong Kong
Green Vietnam
Green Hulu Kapuas

These are the ones that work for me but may not work for you. So I would just Order a Few Sample Packs of a Plethora of Different Strains from Different Vendors to see which ones you Respond to Best. That's the Thing about Kratom is what works for one Person may not work for the Next. Dosing is also Key. Find your Sweet Spot Dosage to get the Most out of your Kratom without Wasting any Kratom. Remember with Kratom Less is More. Hope this Helps some.
If anybody has any Questions about Kratom please private message me or make a Post & I will be glad to answer as soon as I can usually within 24 hours if not sooner. I'm usually on really late at night Between Midnight & 5am.

Thank you MadMax :)
It's funny you listed the "Jong Kong", as I'm subscribed to a Youtube channel with a gal who does nothing but Kratom reviews from different vendors and she was RAVING about Elephant Jong Kong (I believe that was the name of it) It's from Christopher's Botanicals. I haven't tried that vendor yet, but have heard only good things.
I'm going to write down all the strains you listed, and take your suggestion. Samples, Samples, Samples.
I'll find something out there that works for me eventually I'm sure.

It would be great if I could find a strain that doesn't leave me insanely dehydrated too. I know we're supposed to drink ALOT of water when taking Kratom, and I do.
But even when I drink plenty of water there seems to be some brands/strains that just seem to have a more intense dehydration effect than others. Strange.
I appreciate your help once again.
Many Thanks :-bd

I'm Glad that info was Helpful for you.

Here is some info on Kratom Dehydration:

Kratom Dehydration: Causes and Symptoms

Kratom dehydration is a side effect that affects many kratom users. Even if there is no proper scientific research on the matter, anecdotal evidence seems to suggest that kratom dehydration is real and can affect kratom users.

But why does kratom cause dehydration? First of all, kratom has diuretic effects. Diuretics release water from your body. But other hypotheses suggest that kratom can cause the muscles to release water through sweat or urine.

Since kratom causes your body to lose water, you will experience dehydration. People commonly associate dehydration with dry skin, lips or eyes. But dehydration also implies a loss of vitamins and nutrients, and cause kidneys to work more. Therefore, kratom dehydration can have dangerous consequences for your health and increase the risk of suffering several serious conditions:

Malnutrition
Constipation
Muscles cramps and pain
Skin damages, including burns, irritations and even skin cancer
Nausea and dizziness
Kidney disease and kidney stones
Low blood pressure
Arrhythmias
Lack of energy
So, kratom dehydration is no joke and you should take it seriously.

How to Fight Kratom Dehydration

If you are suffering from any symptoms of kratom dehydration, you may need to reduce your kratom intake. Frequent use of kratom (daily or even more than once a day) can cause undesired side effects, such as dehydration. Since kratom is a natural diuretic, reducing its use can help you fight and even avoid dehydration.

Also, avoid using other diuretics (including medications, natural products, and foods) if you are using kratom.

Drink plenty of liquids, such as water or natural fruit juices. Electrolytes and sports drinks can also be very helpful. However, you must avoid coffee, tea, and alcohol.

Keep a healthy diet that includes vegetables and fruits. They will provide you with water and nutrients.

Use body and face lotions and moisturizers to keep your skin hydrated.

If you’re suffering from dry eyes, you can use over-the-counter eye drops or even warm compresses for dry eyes.

Take sea buckthorn oil. This herbal remedy is a natural source of omega-7 fatty acid, and consuming it can improve dry skin, mouth, and eyes dramatically.

If you have been suffering from kratom dehydration for a while, it is recommendable you take a blood test to make sure you are not suffering from any deficiency. Dehydration can also cause loss of nutrients, which in turn could result in a lack of vitamins or other deficiencies. In this case, you might also need to add vitamins or other supplements to your diet.

If anybody has any Questions about Kratom please private message me or make a Post & I will be glad to answer as soon as I can usually within 24 hours if not sooner. I'm usually on really late at night Between Midnight & 5am.

Thank You MadMax!
You have such a wealth of information and I truly appreciate your taking the time to share it with me.

At this point I'm only using Kratom 1x a day, and only about four to five days out of the week.
I'm still on pain medication for my chronic pain condition, and the Kratom I take is a morning dose (about 5gm) to get me through the morning. It's been so helpful, as I usually end up needing only 1 or 2 of my pain pills later in the day, if that much.
So it's helped me to cut down on the pain meds.
I haven't made the jump completely off my pain medication yet, as I'm still trying to find that perfect mix of pain reduction and mood enhancement in Kratom. Once I'm able to find the strains and vendor(s) that work best for me, I would like to get off the pain meds altogether.

I am primarily a raw vegan (so my main food supply consists of a lot of water-rich fruits/veggies..although I'm still a popcorn addict :) ) I mention this because I find this diet to be very hydrating and I think will help me in the long run as a Kratom user (*I haven't had any constipation issues, as I've heard can happen to a lot of folks on Kratom, and I credit my diet for that..I'm still
very "regular"). I also take Salmon Oil supplements daily and Vit.D
I agree with the "Less is More" theory when it comes to Kratom, and am already dealing with health issues so I don't need anymore due to dehydration issues effecting my kidneys or general vitamin/mineral levels in my body.
Ill be drinking plenty of water, that's a given.

I thank you again,
Hope you're enjoying your weekend:)

Your Very Welcome Desertgirl19. If you have anymore Questions then don't hesitate to post or send me a Private Message. I will try to Reply within 24 hours if I'm not Sick.

That's amazing that you are getting off of your Pain Meds. I wouldn't do it Cold Turkey. I would very slowly get off of them because of the Withdrawals that you might have. Since you are only taking 2 Pills at the most per day then you shouldn't have bad withdrawals.

Remember Kratom can take about 70% of the Withdrawals away according to what I've heard from most people. So you can take Kratom more times per day & cut down on your Pain Meds. My Average Dose of Kratom is about 3 grams & I take it about every 2.5 hours because I have such Bad Chronic Depression that will never go away. I am on Prozac & that keeps me from going too far down in Depression. With the Kratom I am able to feel Normal & actually Happy sometimes depending on the Strain.

Since you are taking it for pain then you would need at least 4 grams or more to have it work fully for your Pain Relief. I would try to lower my Dose a little less than 5 grams down to 4 grams & see how that goes for you. If that doesn't work then go to 4.5 grams. That way you will be saving Kratom a little bit each dose & you want be wasting it by taking so much each time. I try to take as much as I can each time without wasting it. It will let me know if I'm taking too much because I will get the Wobbles, Rebound Headache or Dizziness & Dehydrated sometimes.

Another thing that I recommend is to try out some Potentiators like Turmeric Extract with Black Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Magnesium, Vitamin C, White Grapefruit Juice, Cimetidine, Cat's Claw etc. My Favorite is the Turmeric Extract with Black Pepper. It seems to actually make Kratom a little more Potent & make it last a little Longer as well.

Also taking Stem & Vein with any Strain will make it last about 45 minutes - 1 hour longer in My Experience. Stem & Vein will give you the Full Kratom Experience because S&V is what is in the Leaf to begin with. Most Suppliers take it out to have a Pure Plain Leaf Product. S&V is about 40% less potent than Plain Leaf Strains. It usually will give a more relaxing, sedating effect when taken.

Another thing I would recommend doing is buying a Milligram Scale that is Accurate. You can Measure the Exact Amount for each Dose more Accurately & find your Sweet Spot Dose that will work best for you. Kratom is the Most Complex Herb on the Planet. There is just so much more me can learn about it. I think we need to do more Studies on Kratom as a Healing Herb rather than look at it as a Legal High which it is not. The US needs to look at how many People Die as a Result of Alcohol & Tobacco Use rather than Look at Kratom.
If anybody has any Questions about Kratom please private message me or make a Post & I will be glad to answer as soon as I can usually within 24 hours if not sooner. I'm usually on really late at night Between Midnight & 5am.

I have found Yellows have helped with my depression a great deal. Premium MD's help with offering an uplift. I'd also recommend Red Aceh, and places like K-OG offer pink strains under their Red selection, like Pink Elephant. I also had great results from a particular strain from Online Kratom, Ganesha Fusion, which you may want to mix with a good red. Currently, my anti-depressant jam is Yellow Vietnam but I know I need an energetic red to blend with.
