My experience with Maui Wowee Kratom, starts with their website. First of all you basically have 2 buying options. You can buy an ounce for review for $13, of Red, White, or Green Maeng Da, or you can buy a Kilo for $75. Or you can buy some extract $3/Gram, or $45/oz. The prices change when you put in your cart. Now the ounce and the kilo is quite a jump, there is no middle ground to buy from them. There's no 4 ounce, or 8 ounce options, or 500 gram options. I like having a better choice to want to choose from. I did order an ounce of each so I could try it out. They did end up sending it for free. I was expecting to pay COD (cash on deliver) to the post lady, but never had to. I'd rather pay with a card when ordering, (personal preference). It just seems easier to me. I was pleasantly surprised when I didn't have to pay, because after the fees and taxes, and shipping, it was $50 for 3 ounces. I did end up getting 2 ounces of each for free, so I was happy about that. The packages were standard zip seal mylar bags with a lot of typing on the backside, "Organically Purified Mitragena Speciosa" is what the top said. Then a little below it said Product contains: "Mitragena speciosa Leaf extract" It was plain leaf, but there could have been extract added in I'm not sure, it's not clear, which I didn't like. When I dumped out the red maeng da, it was a chocolate brown color, but it had bright green powder mixed with it, so I don't know if that was extract or what?? All three of the powders were pretty decent, it wasn't overly spectacular, it was on par with the other kratom I've gotten in the past. The green was pretty uplifting and relaxing at the same time.. The white made me kind of sleepy in the morning, but taking it in the after noon produced a better energized feeling. The red made me nice and relaxed like a normal red does. I enjoyed each strain, they were of good quality.

So the kratom is good, but I don't understand why it says it's hydroponic west Maui Mountain Grown, harvested and processed. From what I understand about growing, Hydroponic is grown Indoors with a constant feeding of the roots with a water/nutrient solution. I don't know of any outdoor hydro growing. Maybe it means it gets a lot of water.. Not too sure.
I think overall they need more choices in sizes to buy, even though the kilos are extremely cheap, some people don't want to dive in and buy a whole kilo when they order kratom. The contents of the powder needs to be more clear as well. Joe says most of their stuff is enhanced, but its not clear in the descriptions of the powders, it says botanical leaf extract, but it's clearly plain leaf. If it's enhanced, it needs to say enhanced, or just plain leaf. I could possibly order from them again, I just don't think it will be anytime soon. Here is a picture of the kratom powders and baggies, from White, Green, to Red.

Thanks for the heads up. I was curious about this vendor. Sounds kind of sketchy but those are some decent prices for kilos. I may still try them down the road but not right now.
Dear FDA: please stop snooping around my medicine cabinet.
